I've just finished building one for a friend-one of the nicest helicopters to build. Everything fits! Should be testing it this weekend if the weather holds out (and I can get my fingers to the switch).

Hi Andy, had the same feeling when I received the package! Everything was perfectly packed and marked, piece by piece!

The Service the Blitz Guys provide is great and therefore I this helicopter will have a great future. Service is now a days one of the most important things... if its with a car, our hobby a house etc.. If you dont have the service you hoped for you will threw it away ...jajaja...

Good luck with the build and hope to see some nice pictures of your AVRO...

Can you give allready give an update about the setup and electronics?

Regards, Dave

Avro electronics etc.

Dave,

I think i will be running the following, 3 x JR8715 a JR 8900g with sparten gyro. fromeco reg. and 5200mah battery. spectrum receiver, V blades and paddles all round O.S. 91szh with cline carb and hatori pipe. What do you think?

Rather than use the 8900G you could try the new Futaba brushless tail servo, the BLS251...

I'm using 8715's on my Avro and they work very well.

What are the advantages(other than the brushless motor)? Its just that I am an ardent JR fan.

Time will tell, but it's probably reliability...

Futaba claim that the servo should last approximately 5 times longer than their other tail servos.

If you are interested I will be selling the following items

3 x JR8715's
V Paddles
JR 900S Rx
Duralite regulator
Duralite 4300mah battery

These are all 'as new' condition having only been used in the AVRO for 6 flights.

Why are you selling them? I may be interested in the servos if the price is right

I'm selling them because I want to use a very high resolution servo for F3C flying, and the 8715's are a fast servo for 3D and general sports flying. I'm going to use JR8305's which are ideal for F3C.

I have bought the AVRO from a guy who used to fly in the AHA comps, but he has had to give up due to emigrating. I know the seller and know the model was only flown 6 times before he had to give up.

I'm being pretty 'anal' with the kit that I'm putting in the AVRO. The equipment listed in my previous post is all good stuff, but not what I want to use. So I am selling the gear that I'm not going to use.

I believe the 8715's are £71 each new. What about £150 incl delivery for the 3 ?

Blitz are also looking at the costs for producing a plastic canopy, so we dont have to break our nice shiny ones, when we practice
