I hope so. I find it amusing how these vendors sometimes talk from both sides of their mouths. Fender, hows your 3C charging going? Im charging in auto mode with 2C max on all packs, even the 1100mah Esky pack, no problem. Wish I could say that about my flying.

Hey Slider, got that Hurri 550 from the classifieds this weekend!

Careful there Sgt. If the pack isn't capable of discharge rates of 13c or higher, then you should keep the charge rate down to 1c.

I have no problems with charging......with the batts I'm using now...its actually closer to 1.5 or 2.5C(2 sizes)because the CELLPRO I have is the 3 amp version.....but I used to charge my 950mah batts at 3C all the time and NEVER had any problems....good performance and long battery life......I think I will be getting the new CELLPRO10S......this will charge 2 2100mah batts at about 2.5C at the same time,awesome......all of the 1C warnings are so people with out the proper equipment dont try to charge at higher rates....with the proper set up...its safe, and you gotta love 30 min charge times

This is bad news since I have the same ESC. What kind of symptoms did you have prior to the full failure? Is that thing still under warranty?

I got that from the "finless" video on the 1010c charger and balancer. He charged all of his by the mah rating of the batt. 2200mah at 2.2C.

heli drifting not hovering too steady then all of a sudden it just sounded funny when initializing tone was like an american idol singer. I unplugged it it initialized fine then after a few minutes of test hover it just cut out and dropped to the floor. just cutout for a second completely no control at all but came back. I did what slider said fried his, ran it unloaded a few times adjusting pitch and planted it in the freezing snow several times so it is probably my fault.

you are confusing the charge rating with the discharge rating.....that is the correct way to get the charge rate...the capactity is 1C......i.e a 1000mah battery 1C=1A,a 2000 mah battery 1C=2A.....the battery has a seperate DISCHARGE rating.....which tells how many amps a battery can deliver under load...this is totally seperate from capacity....you can have a 2200mah battery thats rated at 10C discharge........or you can have a 2200mah battery rated for 25C discharge..a 1C charge rate for both batteries is the same, 2.2A......but the 25C battery will deliver much more pwer when flying......the DISCHARGE rating(C) is the rating you need to consider when charging at more than 1C

Yes, I understand what you are saying. A battery with a higher discharge rating can take a faster charge. That said, watch the video. He entered the charge rate of 2.2C for a 2200mah battery or similar. That does not jive with discharge rate C = faster charge rate C. Do you "C" what I mean?

yes it does....the charge rate of 1C...is seperate from the discharge rate...in order to charge at more than 1C...the discharge rate must be higher than 12C......the two are not connected at all........in the video...he is charging at 1C

the charge rate is determined by a set formula.......the discharge rate is whatever the mauf. makes it

edit

He entered the charge rate of 2.2C

the charge rate was 2.2 AMPS

OK, thats where I got it mixed up I guess. The charger says C = 2.2 amps. You can see how that might get a little confusing. I'll have to watch it again. I had it in my mind that he entered a C for charging, but it was amps! Sometimes I have to knock the cobwebs out. LOL. Thanks for clarifying that.
