| CONTEST RULES: (For those who want to practice)
Top 3 in each class will receive an award.
The scores from each event will be added to determine final placement. The winner of an event with 10 entries will receive 100 points, second 81, third 64, and so on to 10th receiving 1 point. Highest place is number of pilots squared, etc. (The more pilots in an event the higher your score for that event)
If you don't fly an event you get zero points for that event.
Four classes:
Beginner (those who are learning to hover and maybe some forward flight)
Intermediate
Advanced
Scale
Pilots can fly Beginner or Intermediate, but not both.
Intermediate pilots can enter Advanced.
Beginners:
Bottle knock: Bottles only - Timed event starting and stopping on a pad. Shortest time wins.
Pad Hop: "Touch" each pad and return to start. Shortest time wins.
Timed flight: Must fly at least one circuit to the left and right at least 20 feet each way.
Intermediate:
Bottle Knock:
This will be a timed event. If you knock only the ball off there is zero extra time added. If you knock down the bottle, 30 sec. will be added to your time. You must knock the ball or bottle down from each spot and time stops when both skids are on the start and stop pad.
Pad hop: Heli must "land" with both skids on the pad. Each touch outside of pad adds 10 seconds.
3 Rolls and 3 loops in any order, land on start pad for time.
Advanced:
Auto Contest: Two parts: Sliding auto: Longest skid wins (Three turns and we will add all three. We will use the ballards as a reference and assign a score to each ballard. You must start the skid before a certain ballard or get a zero)
Spot Auto: Nose on spot for points - (Three tries, add points for score)
Combine distances and points for total score.
Freestyle Competition: (Four minute routine)
Todd and Matt and any other judges we can get will score each flight.
SCALE
Two classes for scale: Top three in each class will receive an award!!
Best scale flight: We will have a number of "secret" judges on hand all weekend watching. So make sure your flights are to "scale"
Pilots favorite: (Each pilot registered will be asked to vote for their favorite)
We are open for suggestions so let hear them !!!
