| I’m usually pretty good about following my gut instinct, but I really blew it with the 3Dpro. I’ve never been a big fan of Century. I feel that their customer service is sub par, that they are far too slow at fixing known deficiencies, and are too arrogant to listen to their customer’s input. I really wanted a CP helicopter with a driven tail that would be about the size of a HB. At the time that I bought it my choices were the Maxir, Hornet, or 3Dpro. The other two had limited parts support, so I reluctantly bought the 3Dpro. I bought the kit, so I saved some money there, but I ordered the belt drive right off the bat, $60. Then I started buying the purple bits in a desperate attempt to make this thing fl the way I wanted it to. If I remember correctly each “upgrade” was about $30-35. So the kit was about $100, belt drive $60, purple pieces $120, and the time trying to get it to fly well, priceless. When my helicopter was covered in purple, it reminded me of that evil dinosaur, Barney. That should have been a clue. I just feel that I wasted a bunch of money and, perhaps more importantly, time. Anywho, lesson learned. Stick with your gut instincts and don’t buy Century products.
I’ve still got a ton of parts, so I’ll probably fly it until the last spare is gone. At least then, I might feel that I got something out of it. Then, I’ll use it for target practice. |
