Nice conversion,

I would have replaced that CC85 though, my guess it will either burn or brake in other way.

Not really, if you are lucky (winning on lottery type of lucky) it will hold for you, but is it worth risking the heli over, thats the question.

12s and CC85 has very very bad history, ive damaged two helis before I decided it was enough.

PowerJazz is the best.
If you cant afford it, at least get a CC110HV.

Nice work! I'm thinking of doing this as well on my Rap90. What are your hover and full pitch amps? About 36 at hover and 90-110 amps at 10-12 degrees of pitch? What sort of flight times do you get and how many mAh does that take out doing sport, med 3D or hard 3D?

I've run the power calc's to get the basic info, but I'd like to back it up with actual experiences before I buy the wrong gear.

Hey guys
I have parameters from first flights!!!
first flight
test
Hover static F3C 1300obr 15min 17-18Amp 11tooth pinion
I charged batteries after the flight 3570mah

the next flight
10tooth pinion
Hover 1400obr 15-17Amp
idle-up Hover 27-29Amp 1960-2000obr
short peaks maxxxx pitch (3-4s) 76 amps!!! at 10 degrees of pitch, blades 690mm Sab FAI
temperature of the engine 45'C
temperature ESC 35'C
the temperature of the air now in the Poland 5-7'C BRRRR...

the voltage fell to 42V X 76A = 3192Watts!!!!!
this is the very big power

The temps on your motor and ESC seem a bit high for the ambient temp.

7°C = 44°F Ambient
45°C = 113°F Motor
35° = 95°F ESC

69°F difference between ambient and motor is a lot.

Good heli

looking on the web the actro can only go upto 2.2KW. This is ok for a hot 3D 50 ship. I would want 3KW in a 90.

thanks Cam UK
heh
60-70A for actro 32-04 this is not the problem
3000W near this tension for Actro is the norm

Cool.

I might get one.

Is the main gear really that heavy you have to make holes in it?

Thats very good work, it looks great. I noticed no way to adjust for differant sized pinions, may have missed it. Any chance to "slot" the mounting holes on the frame, so the motor mount can be adjusted fore & aft? Darn nice work.

Hi

i am thinking of buying the new raptor 90 3d and convert it to E,
I can build heli's but aren't a pro in the machine shop, are the heli's above modified, can i use thes tock frame as is on the 90 3d, Is the adapter part a pain and to fix it all in place?

The first thread on a 90 E conversion was not really encouraging, at the end the guy gave up. I really want a nice looking E 90 heli, and raptor looks best of all i've seen, just don't want to get myself in for something i cannot do? Please some advise please..

I shall be testing Hyperion, Scorpion Motors and ESCs in an E90 in about a month.

From what I've seen the E620 10T pinion looks like it fits the Actro motors - Did you have the use a shaft adaptor???

I don't see any problem with making your own carbon frames to put the motor and batteyr wherever you like. 3 ccpm servos (even direct-links) may make this a lot easier.
