What is the maximum voltage you can safly you can run through the V-bar? For example, if I wnated to run the "Crack" package. 8717's with either a BLS251 or DS8900 on the tail.

It looks like from the manual that the voltage is range is 3 to 7.5

http://www.vstabi.de/download/manual_e.pdf see page 5.

Hope this helps- no actual experience with v-stabi though.

Well, that being the case, looks like my V-bar Stratus might end up with the "Crack" package then.

Do please keep me posted as to performance over time and if there are any issues running that high a voltage through the V-bar.

will do bud, i just started using it but i know alan jr's been running this setup for a while now.

you only need 3 8717's dont need one on the throttle its just over kill there so save some weight and use a mini 3155 on throttle or what ever you have or want to there.

on the vbar you only have a rudder channel to step down on tail, theres no gain channel, so it leaves the other port open for the throttle servo

I think Ulrich (designer of VBar) accently ran 42 volts through the vstabi, servos & receiver burned, but the Vstabi survived....

I wouldnt worry about it
