how much torque (gf.cm) is required from a starter motor to start a 50 size nitro engine.

The Sullivan hi-tork starter I use that works fine at 12v has 210 in-oz of torque (about 15,000 gm-cm). The biggest issue is the initial "breaking" torque to get the stationary engine past it's first compression stroke. Then the torque probably cuts in half.

thanks for that info only there an option to fit a motor that creates 12000 gm-cm torque at 50 rpm with only 6v and i think it may be small enough to fit to a nitro to have it eletric start.
