Yep, Art I have read some others like this. But reading this causes me to ask questions.

1. Why would you answer your phone using your BT Headset while you are flying?
2. $2400 Heli vs. a .10 cent phone call? I know I am not to good at math, but if you can afford to take the change, go for it. Maybe having that device in your ear looks cool, but talking on that device while your Heli is screaming at max RPM, how would you even hear the conversation?

To me, if I was standing on the sidelines taking on my headset, it should not cause any problems. But like you said, the verdict is still out and maybe someone can provide better proof.

No kidding...I think the guy was bench testing his heli when the phone set it off. Any thing that uses RF at any Freq could be interfered with by something....other wise we wouldn't have Military jamming aircraft......no doubt 2.4 is a lot better at rejecting RF interference its not immune to it. There are alot of military aircraft in our area.....hmmmmm.

I am looking for a thread I saw yesterday that showed a lot of interference coming from static discharge from the belt off a Trex 500 ....he had a wire grounded to the tail unit and had a wire going the CF frame but not grounded to the frame. There was a small gap and a spark was jumping to the frame. Every time it sparked the aileron servo would jump violently. As soon as he grounded it to the frame it stopped.....interesting.

You know Art, one day I was driving down I-5 on my way to work. As I left 512 and got on the ramp for I-5 my car was back firing, not with a large bang, I could just feel the engine and a small pop. Well there was other vehicles that had pulled over, trucks mostly. I didn’t really think about them having the same thing happening. So I drive down I-5 and there was a few cars and trucks pulled off the side of the road. Well after having this happen allot while driving down I-5 I finally pulled over and took an exit. There was 3 other cars there. I talked to them and they all said there cars were doing the same thing. The funny thing is once I passed the Air Force Base this all stopped.

Strange things happen that we cant explain.

LOL @ theme to The Twilight Zone.

I think the base had something going wrong. But it was the strangest morning I have ever had. Good news is others also had this problem so I know I wasnt going crazy.

When I lived over in the Tri-Cities there was a similar thing where cars would drive past Hanford out on the west side of the reservation and cars would just quit running down the hwy....there would be a string of cars sitting on the side of the road. Then like nothing happened they would start them back up and take off.......oh god I hear that music again.......

thanks for the props johnny,

the ground wire thing on the 500, told some people about doing that with one brand and type of rc car. and that it may take care of the problem. i'm guessing the torque tube will work also

Are you going to run a 8V system on your 700N?? I must come down to your field and hangout sometime. Let me know when you have the 700N at the shop. I must see one up close. I am going to get a 700N this fall when nirto is back in stock. My fuel stock is getting low and the price is going up!!!

Watch how fast FW fills up with 700 Nitro parts......When was the last time there was a Raptor Order made to fill all the empty spots on the wall?

It is great that the 700N is coming out, but with the fuel shortage's and the cost of fuel who can afford to fly one. I'll stay with the fiftys for awhile. Keith

the amount of people that fly raptors are fewer and fewer.

To be able to stock parts people have to buy parts and fly raptors

we will most likely end up special order only for Raptor items n the near future.

the amount of people who fly Raptors has increased In the local area but they have to go out of town to find parts.....There is an interest in them....even if you don't fly one. Three other hobby shops still have a huge Raptor inventory....Just not in Tacoma

If you filled the Empty spots on the wall people might actually come in the store to buy the parts that are hanging there........I know I would, I have asked you over and over to stock up on Raptor parts to no avail....that's why I have to travel out of my local area to locate parts.......Not because people aren't flying Raptors any more. Is is possible that you want to be an Align Rep so bad the you won't even do business with Thunder Tiger?
