Also I noticed that my tail control rods are vibrating all over too which directly affects the pitch on the tail which very well could account for my twitching.
Put fuel tubing on the entire length of the control rod, all the way up to the plastic ball link. That will solve the vibration issue.

did you bend your rod on your motor overtightening your motor nut?
how did you hold the crank while you tightened it
you used the washer on your hyper 50 on the 600n?

just acouple more things to check

I tightened the fan/clutch motor nut while holding the fan like in the helifreak build video, didn't use a crank holder or whatever so there's zero chance that I bent the crank, however the motor is second hand so I guess the last owner could have. Yes the washer is in there. I bought a dial indicator today so tonight I'll have the runout in check. if it still vibrates I'll check out the engine rod and see if its bent. Thanks for the tip Johnny.

Well the verdict is, after balancing the fan and checking for runout, I have less than half the vibration than before, which is great, I think its pretty normal now, no fuel foaming or anything. Also the tail control rod isn't vibrating to detriment. I put on Sams fuel tubing idea, which also works a charm.
But still gettting some tail twitching, not nearly as bad as before I did all this but still not happy. I'm still waiting for the new tail hub though. It was mailed form Heliproz south this morning priority so I think wednesday/thursday it'll be here, also (although I don't think it's necesary now) I'm going to try putting the tail servo on the boom like on the electric 600 and shorten up the tail control rod to minimize that as the culprit.
Will let you know how it goes. At least I'm done being frustrated with it, no point getting pissed over a heli...............well ok I'm still a little peeved......

The servo is not on the tail boom for a reason on the 600N. Do not move it. Two main reasons, exhaust fumes, heat, and oil will slowly kill the tail servo. Ask anyone with a Raptor that has the servo on the boom. The other reason is balance with the servo up front.

Hey Anthony, valid point. In that case, I might mount it there for a flight or two just to see if that helps with the twitching, if it does then that means I have more work to do with vibrations.

Hey Johnny, it'll be ready for sunday, I could confidently fly it with its twitches. Maybe it just needs to be run in.............to the ground and then the twitch will magically disappear when I rebuild it

Hansville is quite a drive, so is orting, but hey, that doesn't stop artimus. I'm feeling quite fortunate only live ten minutes of quiet streets away from "The field". That gets me thinking, it really needs a better name than "The Field"
