Welcome packman2000.
First off let me make clear that this is NOT a club.
I know we have all the trappings of a club. WE look like a club sometimes we even act like a club. What we are is just a bunch of guys that just kinda show up to fly helis planes and drive off road buggies all at the same place and the same time......We try to keep it organized and safe, but no one is in charge, no AMA Required, no flight test or written test. The one thing we enforce with a mean bulldog attitude is flight line violations and Frequency Checks ....most fly with Spektrum but some are still on 72mhz.
So now that out of the way , come join the fun. We look forward to new pilots coming out every weekend due to the efforts of Johnny at Fantasy World Hobbies. He is the driving force of this gathering.
My heart goes out to Johnny. He lost is mother this week to cancer.
Johnny WE love you man.....
We look forward to you joining our gathering this summer and if you feel you need to pay dues , make the check out to me......

Hey Packarman2000

Welcome to the northwest. If your here in June you might try to make the Brooks Oregon Fun fly. I believe it's June 13, 14 and 15. It might be a little close to your move date for a road trip, but if you can make it, it is a good one.

Hey Artimus

Not going to make the drive today. I have some troubleshooging to do on a friends 600N. I feel sorta responsible since it's my fault that he got into helis.

Seems stupid, I drive from Springfield to Olympia in the snow and rain then pass on a sunny day. I may need to look at my decision making process.

Hope to see you guys over in Othello, only two weeks away now.

I feel your pain Art

So today on my way to my grandmas, an F-350 decided to rear-end me!! Luckily no Helis were damaged even though they were all in my trunk. BUT I did crash my logo 500 today afterwards lol.. I'm almost tempted to claim it. The funny thing(but not really) is that I just bought this 04 Honda on Friday!! What crappy luck.. The guy says he doesn't have insurance but he seemed to be real honorable and we are going to take it in tomorrow morning to a body shop. I have uninsured motorist coverage thank god so I should get the car fixed even if he doesn't come through. He probably hit me around 10-15 mph I would guess. I need a new trunk lid and rear bumper so It's gonna be expensive. Hopefully thats all that needs fixing. What luck though.. Anyways, I hope the flying was good down in Tacoma!

Man what a rough weekend....first a stabbing and robbery in front of the hobby shop , you get hit by a truck and then you crash your Logo 500.....
Hows your back????Did you get a police report?Did you call the number he gave you while he was there to make sure that it was his number and not the number on the reader board over your shoulder???

yeah Art, I called his cell while we were exchanging info. He also called after I had left to arrange a time to call me today for going to a body shop. I hope he is good on his word, but we shall see this morning. I'm going to get an estimate from another body shop first just to make sure the place he knows doesn't do some lame ass job. I can insist on factory parts right?? They gotta be painted to apparently if they are from the factory they come with primer on them.

Thanks Jeff. Yeah I think I am fine. I did feel a little stiffness in my back and neck, but I think it was more due to stress. I am going to start a claim today with my insurance just to have it open. If things don't get fixed to my satisfaction, my insurance will pay and go after the guy. We both know this, and at the scene he wanted to avoid that scenario. I was nice and didn't call the police(my insurance said it wasn't necessary) so hopefully the money he saved in not paying tickets for no insurance, and hitting me, will go towards getting my car fixed!

Glad you're okay, Brian! Hindsight is always 20/20, but it was odd your insurance company did not ask you to report it to the police. It should be in their, as well as everyone else on the road's best interest, to keep irresponsible un-insured motorists off the roads....
Just my $.0002's worth ...
