e-E-Sky Honey Bee- Lama- Belt CP- E-Smart > Confirmed: Blade400 Main Gear Fits HBK2

I hate to admit it but my HBK2 now has an E-Flight main gear on it I wanted to do some indoor flying this week and while looking over my heli yesterday I noticed the main gear had a few teeth that were not that great. Not wanting to wait for online order I went to the LHS and bought the Blade400 main gear with one-way bearing. It was a perfect fit, no mods needed. In honesty the EF-gear appears to be a much better built unit and runs true compared to my Esky gear I had and only $2 more.

thats great news just hate to admit it. Im gonna look at microheli on my next gear changes cause I hate E-Flite that much. But its nice to know there is a good replacement.

Thanks for the update, I was wondering about that. Add that to the growing list of B400 parts that fit our beloved Honey. Not a habit you really want to start. But in a pinch, or when the parts work better, I kind of like using Eflight's distrubution network to service my King. The best of both worlds.

Last time I was at the LHS I was looking at the B400 tail slider. Its articulated on both ends so it won't have the limits we have with the stock tail slider. Not sure if the shaft is the same size, or if you need a new arm. They didn't have the arm in stock, so hard to tell if that part could also be replaced.

What other parts are included in the "growing list" of compatible parts?

I got the mesh set perfectly and spooled up into a hover in the living room It seems to be less noisy then the stock gear and the one-way feels more smooth. Glad to pass on the info!

B400 ball links rods. Thrust bearing (althought the Trex 450 thrust bearing set is cheaper and better.

Looking at the B400 parts wall at the LHS, it appears there may be other parts that will work as well. Just haven't checked yet. I'm most interested in the feathering shafts since the shafts for the King's CNC head seem scarce.

I would like to try that CNC main gear....but at15 bucks its hard to swallow...as the main gear seems to be the second thing to go in a crash...after the spindle....maybe I should stop crashing

Blusaber: I'm using the Align pinions.

Fenderstrat: I myself would like to try the CNC gear but the initial price of $29.99 for the gear-autohub combo and then like you said $15.99 per replacement gear there after hurts. So far I'm happy with my change but will know more as flight time goes by.

no,thats a good find on the 400 gear....if you have a mild crash on a good flying day...its a short trip to the LHS.....I try to keep 2 gears at all times...but as already said....they dont take kindly to the blades stopping before they do
