Just put togther my extreme 50 and used the electric conversion kit. Now here are my questions:

what it the best motor to use for this size heli?

what batteries 10s or 12s???

are there other canopies that will fit this heli?

Can this heli (.50 size) in electric form be used for FAI flying

Where did you find the electric conversion kit for Xtreme 50?
A good motor would be the Z-Power 50 - 600(KV566) on 10S. This is what I am going to use anyway.

Wow, on 10S you'll be pushing a head speed of approx 2463 if my math is correct.

I'm gonna try the RJX 480kv on 10S should put me at a 2089 head speed, we fly the nito at 2100

Nah, calculate with 85% efficency, and use Gov on the ESC.
You cant run in at 100%, because then there is no power left to govern the HS. Also, 37V is a more true figure to calc on.

You will get a motor rpm of 17 800. This is close to the nitro version, so your HS should stay in the same region.

But, where can you find the e-kit?

After looking more into it, it seems that 8S is not to bad.
2 x Hyperion CX 4S 4250mA packs (since they need to fin inside the 32mm frame!). TP have some packs that fit as well.

On 8S you can still reach more then 2800W (3,75HP), but the extreme will fly good on 1,9HP as we allready know. That is 1400W(!).

For sport flying, you will need alot less, my guess is around 800W, this will help keep flight times up, and I donīt see +9-10 minuters a problem.

It's an A30 custom made for RJX and not in there line up.

480 KV motor

We have the RjX 480KV motors in stock,
But the "E" conversion is not out to us here in the US yet, but will be very soon. The only "E" conversion RjX has out right now is for our Hurrican 50 models.
