I was thinking of converting my sullivan hi tork starter to a battery powered unit. I currently own a fury extreme and a raptor 50. I have plans to expand the fleet to include a xpec with the new os c-spec engine. What is the best battery size to use with the starter to turn over those big engines. Where is the best place to get them.
Thanks
Chris

I am using (2) 6 cell 2400mah nicd packs to power my high torque starter. I picked them up from Hobby People on sale for $49.00 for both packs. It puts out more power then when it was hooked up to a lead acid battery.

Dru.

P.S. you will need a charger that will handle 12 cells.
