| " Hows This "Hey Guys,
I wanted to touch base and let everyone know
what's happening out of the norm at the Heli Blaze
that you don't normally see and to make a plea to everyone!
I would like for everyone to make plans to be present by 8:30am Saturday morning because the boy scouts will raise the flag at 9:00am and then Mrs.Ruthie Jackson" Council Member along with the Parks Dept Mgr, will follow with a ribbon cutting, then the pilots meeting shortly after.
So the morning is very important to me to see that it goes well with good attendance.

Please make this happen for me as I have put fourth
allot of time and effort to put this event on for
us north Texans! << that's the plea>>
*This event is a "Pilots event" and will be centered
around Pilot's having fun and is sponsored by City of Grand Prairie
and our Parks Dept and they will be with their families.
* The proceeds from the Heli Blaze will solely be used for our youth
training program to put on demo shows for our youth and to do some
badly needed repairs at our club. Even some of the pre-registered
Pilots have donated the extra 5 back to the event
*GP news will be their to do interviews with pilots and video pieces.
*Our Local Access Channel 16 will do a
piece on pilots and award winners.
*Channel 8 news will be their to cover pieces of the event.
*Dallas Morning News took up about 2 hours to do a event write up on
the Heli Blaze and GTRCC in General and should be printed for this
Sunday's paper 06/08/08
* This event has been advertised at our fire stations, police
stations,city hall, shopping malls, food stores, Parks Dept,
Water Dept, and schools around Grand Prairie, Arlington, Mansfield.
* Care Flite will land and be present during the event and will be in
operating mode, so more than likely we will see many take offs and
landings, " well see"
*The city has Hired a vendor to do the concessions and provide
lunch and dinner for GTRCC's guest and is not an easy task
to get the city involved.
*Craig Veytia that owns Egg Media will be Heli videoing the event and
have still pictures for sale at 20.00 a DVD and will have a well
known pilot from this area " wonderful guy " with his brand new video
machine doing the flying along with two additional camera crew.
Along with the events planned and the number of prizes and awards involved, I really hope that this event is a must attend for next year.
I will be using this 1st year as a learning experience to build next years event on.
Next year Jamie Robinson "name drop" has set the date for the
2nd Annual Heli Blaze, to the last weekend in June, so the bigger sponsored pilots can have a chance to come out and play with us.
I will also after the event is over on Sunday want to have feed back from everyone on how to make the 2nd annual Heli Blaze for next year bigger and better.
After 9:00pm the gates will be locked and we will have a party like no other.
Texans always do things bigger!
