| Jet-AWell I can't stand it any longer, at the airport where I keep my plane they have 3 thanks that are I believe 12,500+ gal of Jet-A, and they buy it at around .72 cents a gallon. I guess they get the qty discount.
Any way it's who you know not what you know! I have a life times supply.
As a pilot who does fly real jets occasionaly. I can tell you that there is no reason they can't sell you Jet-A or even 100LL if you wanted it. If they give you it some federal rule or state rule crap get them to quote it to you, or tell you where you can find it --- there's not one! The only thing is, they don not have road usage tax included in the gas (like farm diesel).
Some of the people at the airport love to have a rule to enforce and you may get some up front BS. But if you bring your heli I would bet most airports would sell you Jet-A once they have seen your heli. Try to go to the smaller airports first and you may have much better luck! Once your in its better to let them store your Jet-A and its cheaper! Jet-A will range from $1.50 to $3.00 usualy.
