I’ve entered to have a go, I’ve never competed in anything events with a heli. 34 years old, got my B cert last year. Not brilliant so I’ve gone for mainly K1 but I’ve noticed most flyers improve loads after doing a comp, so that’s what I’m hoping get out and get some flying in of course. I think everyone should have a go, so many flyers just don’t bother but I’m getting on a bit for a heli flyer, so I better have a go before I loose all my hair.

Need a caller for 3DX clubman (UK), my caller can't go now because the AHA have changed there comp dates for round 2 to de-conflict with another event and to top it off my club has there BBQ on that weekend. It's only a small club and no one is free to call. Is there anyone out there who can step in on the day? I'm not an expert flyer so I'm not too concerned with not getting the chance to run through it, although I will be flying on Saturday as well so there is opportunity. I will also be going to Charmouth.

I will also be at charmouth pop over and say hello, i will have a black rangerover with big i mean big alloys (your know it when you see it. Will have twin nitro twin600,and a synergy with A uSA FLAG CANOPY. Answers to the name Mike from Weymouth or flash git lol

What level is this comp aimed at now. Is it grass routes flyers “true club flyers” that want to have a go at competition or is that just a phase people use to describe masters sportsman level, which I would say is slightly above club level. The only reason I ask is, I passed my B cert last year and was looking to enter a comp, but with the end of the 3d masters sportsman class and the top prize of clubman 3d being a place in experts class, this seems to put me off competing. I’m not saying I would be in with a chance of wining but, the event just doesn’t look like a clubman comp anymore. Opinions please

CLUBMAN 3D HELI-FEST 2008

The Clubman 3D Weekend is not just about the Clubman 3DX competition, this is the only event of its kind in the UK. It will be a unique, fun packed weekend for all RC helicopter enthusiasts, that starts on Saturday the 17th May, with the Clubman 3D Fly-in.

PLEASE NOTE ALL TIMES ARE APPROXIMATE!!

Friday 16th May

PM - Field open for those wishing to setup Tents/Caravans, onsite facilities include, showers, toilets, bar and catering. - £5 per Night per Caravan/Tent

Saturday 17th May - CLUBMAN Heli Fly-In:

OPEN TO ALL, Novice, Sports, 3D, FAI and Scale flyers, come and enjoy a relaxed days flying at the Goole RFC site. Rub shoulders with some of the Best RC Heli Pilots in the world, who will be on hand to offer help and advice.

9:30 am TX Control Opens for the Heli Flyin - £4 per Pilot - BMFA Insurance Required!
Field open for those wishing to setup Tents/Caravans, onsite facilities include, showers, toilets, bar and catering. - £5 per Night per Caravan/Tent

9:00pm We have booked an onsite hall for electric helicopter flying (450 size maximum). Please contact the organisers of the event if you wish to fly in the evening indoor event.

Sunday 18th May - CLUBMAN 3DX Competition:

Sunday will see the start of the fourth Clubman 3DX Cup, the competitors will battle it out to prove who is The Best UK Club Pilot in front of our panel of master judges !!

Along with this, their will be demo slots to give our sponsors a chance to show you how good their latest products work. Some of our sponsors will have trade stands at the event over the weekend offering all their latest RC helicopter products.

12 pm LUNCH - Demos from our Sponsors, including some of the UKs Best Pilots.
