I took my brother in law with me to the field this morning. He is still in the early learning stages so I figured I would show him what a heli can do, well I sure did I got cockey and was doing some low FFF and dumb thumbed it pretty good. So far the main gear, main shaft, spindle, head block, flybar, main blades, skids, and one servo is on the damage list but I'm sure I'll find more once I tear it apart. Oh well that's what I get for showing off

Actually the heli looks like it survived pretty well.. I hope you didn't damage the canopy It should be indestructable with the new name on it...
Rule #1 don't try to fly below ground level, it doesn't work I have tried it repeatedly...

I didn't even bother to put it on for some reason so it's fine. Yeah it isn't all that bad considering. It did look pretty cool seeing the rotorhead pop about 10 feet in the air after it went in.

Yeah, if i could go back in time, that is the first guy i would have a talk with. Distract him just enough so that apple falling off the tree would miss him and then we would not have this gravity thing to worry about.

As for the heli, well, thats half the fun is knowing that you can rebuild it, you have the technology, you have the ability, and now it doesnt quite cost six million any more. It may seem like it, but its doable.

I have to agree with the rebuilding part. I have just as much, if not more fun working on them as I do flying.

Hey JW,

Double check the frame real close, especially just past the motor mount. THats where mine last decided to fail.

Don't worry I will. I have to tear the frame apart to put in the 43t pulley and new idlers anyway so I'm going to do a close inspection of the frame in the process.
