RJX Hobby Hurrican 50 - Xtreme 50 > Help needed for newbie

I'm Ready to learn on a nitro heli. This would be my first nitro, and looking for a 50 size. I like what I have been reading about the RJX. Is this a mistake to buy for my first real heli? I hope not, but I am hopeful that maybe a field rep would help with the set-up and make sure the build was done right! I live in FL.
Any takers?
Is this the right place to post?

If you are serious about learning to fly a Heli then the 50 size is an excellent choice. If you start with a 30 or and unstable small electric, you will only wind up with a 50 anyway so why not start out with one to start with. It can be set up so that it will be very docile to learn from.

The Extreme 50 is an excellent choice, you can look in my gallery for pictures of mine, however mine is the grey one. Install a good 50 motor and a set of wood blades and a hulahoop under the skids and go for it.

Make sure that you have some help and it is best to join a club and receive the proper help that you need to safely learn to fly.

RJX has very good product support and I can't recommend it enough.

I'm not a feild rep,but I will say this much, the head is programable and you can advance it as your skills get better. This is by far the most stable 50 I have flown yet.Good machine to grow with. This is just My opinion only.Good luck

interlink I would call Foxden right away and get started. The RJX will be a great starter heli because you can tame the settings on the head and add some expo to make it fly very smooth and easy. And when you get a little better crank it up and let it rock. good luck and ask alot of ??

I've had a crash on mine which shattered both main blades on a sideways arrival to earth, surprisingly, the only damage to the head was a bent flybar and pitch arm. Spindle was perfectly straight even after removing it and checking against a darn good straightedge. Main shaft has a minor bend which only shows up against the straightedge. Needless to say, i'm pretty impressed with the parts.

I took some damage to the tail though, it was a vertical descent onto the tail which caused me to lose yaw controls and I had to drop it in.

The build may be a challenge if you haven't build a stack frame heli before, It will be good to get some advice and help from your fellow flying group.
