Glad to hear it! On a 600+, you really need a 9 tooth pinion for 6s. I got one that I don't need. PM me your address and I will get it out to you tomorrow....Ron

that would be great thanx I tryed the 5s with a 12t and didn't like the head speed. I think 2000 is to much for plastic grips. but if it is not please tell me. I put a 11t on it and the head speed droped to 1800 which I was more comfortable with. Thanx to khan I enjoyed every minute today. he gave me a great deal on some 5s packs to test with and the 11t I ended up using today. do I need to run CF blades and metal main grips on 6s? what is the status on the plastic grips what will they take before the head is to hot for them to handle. and why the F --- does everyone beat up on Century I find the swift to be a very very good flying heli and I am just getting started with it. I plan on betting the $hi- out of it but now I want to fly it like it means something. I though i was buying something that would not matter to me I was wrong it matters and I thing I will fly it more then I fly my little 450's. I have tons of fun just not enough pax to fly as much as I wanted to. going to fix that really quick. pming you now buddy thanx agian for all your help. I will post up a pic of my girl in a few but she is just as you and Khan told me to run her and she is a dream in the air.

IMHO woodies for mild 3D at 2000 RPM are OK. So are the grips as long as you are not in freezing temps (solely my observation based on where some people are that reported failures in the past) and you do not over tighten them.....Ron

I did it just as you helped me to do Ron they are tight but not binding and the screws go all the way in no lock tite holding them out like a rep once told me to do.

and why the F --- does everyone beat up on Century I find the swift to be a very very good flying heli

I'd like to know that too! I had a Hawk II and a Hawk Sport a few years back and I too love my Swift. When I got into the larger electrics it was between the Swift and the Logo 10, the Swift won out because of the price difference. I haven't regretted it, the Swift flies great for what I need, not a 3D pilot just basic aero. I'm running a Kontronik Tango 45-10, CC 45HV and a cheap ($105) TrueRC 6S 4000mAh pack. I also have a 7S Emoli pack. The Swift will no doubt get some upgrades this spring but it certainly doesn't need them to fly well and the kit is reasonably priced. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to get into larger electrics or into heli's period for that matter.

I have wondered about that for years. I have been flying r/c helis since 1985, and have hands on experience with most brands, and have found Century to be a favorite - very under-rated.

I think the "beaking" is a result of the relationship between Century (manufacturer) and Heli-World (retailer owned by Century). Many years ago the knowledge and service from Heli-World was not "up to standard" (to be kind), so they got trashed a lot. Though the trashing should have been directed to Heli-World, it was unknowingly directed at Century.

Also, because most hobby shops do not like competing with the manufacturer when they sell retail, most hobby shops did not stock the product. Consequently, when a potential heli purchaser would go into their shop and mention Century products, the LHS and their customers would naturally trash it, because they wanted them to purchase what they stocked and were familiar with.

From the Swift on up to the Predator GS, I and many others have found the product to be "best buys".

flew 4 more packs through the swift today and even fliped it a time or to. I really wish I could find a good place here locally to get parts for it. the palce I do most of my hobby buying from Grandrc.com does carry a few things for the swift but not near what I would like to see. I need to find a few crash parts.and no it did not crash but the way I plan on flying it it's going to very often and I like to have 3 of all the most replaced pieces so when not if it goes down I can put it back together. I took pics at the field of my buet and thought you all might want a peek so here's a few pics from the NGH of what I am naming Shawnee that is her name, She is very light and for a 30 size heli cheap to keep in the air. I am looking for a few 5s 3800-4000ma packs for it now as I only have two and one is really bad. good for hover only. the other one has some pop but after 5 mins of what I call mild 3d the pack got to 165 and started to puff a bit. I guess my mild and everyone else's is dif. but I can tell you I may have to move up to the 6s as I am finding the 5s flights a little short. I am going to put the 11t back on and fly with that. the head speed is a little soft but the battery didn't get hot and the flight times where about 30% longer. now I was not beating on it with the 11t but I what not beating on it today either. I did fly it a little harder then I would have flown my 600 but it cost me from $100-300 to fix the 600 when it goes done. the swift should be somewhere in the relms of $30-70 baring a battery lost(because of where the batts. mount).

congrats on your maiden!!!

I was a first time purchaser from Century when swift came out.

To date no regrets...customer service has been great.

Will I purchase from them again? absolutely.

so overall, are you 6s/600mm blade fliers happy with the flight time and power? thinking about getting back into the century mix.

The Swift 16 or the new Swift 550 do very well with 6 cell packs driving mainblades from 515mm to 570mm (like a 600mm heli would be on 8S or 10S packs). But the booms on each are too short for 600mm blades.

If you want to run 600mm blades you would be best to go to their newly released 620E. This can be run on anything from 6S to 10S packs. Of course the performance (power and/or endurance) will be relative to the size of the battery packs used.

Like any 600mm to 620mm heli, driving such blades on a 6 cell pack would be much like driving 520/530mm blades in the Swift 16 or 550E on a 4 cell pack.

The newly realeases 620 is a very high speck heli with CNC components everywhere and carbon fiber mainframes.
