I have not tried the extended boom despite having one
I need to make up a longer tail push rod
I wonder if turning the tail servo around will be enough?

The Hacker A30 is the one motor that I have no experience with
I've used the Hyperion and Kora and Axi (multiple models of each)
Non of them have bogged in tic tocs
Running 4S with gearing for 2700 to 2850 headspeed

I am running the ReadyHeli 68mm tail blades

Have you both tried the extended boom, it really makes a difference

I went 400mm MAH instead. I can't justify the expenses for stretch boom...... I did a video just today. Not too amazing but enough to display the tail authority I gained. With HS only 2650rpm, and flying weight of 1613g.... I just need to clean my computer so I can down load from cam.... My computer won't take anymore files......

I really love my Lepton, even on 3S 4400 (dual 3s 2200 packs) it flys really smooth and stable. Everyone at my field always comments on what a nice running heli I have, and there are already a few flying the T500. Granted their T500 running on 6s does have a faster climbout then my lepton at the moment, once I get done with my 5s conversion to it then I think it will out preform their rex. You just can't compete with the quality of the kit, it really is top notch!

PS: Nice flying Tail_boom!

I had a chance to see a TRex 500 at our field the other day on 6s. Looks pretty good, but seems heavy and not as quick as my 5S Lepton. It also had a catastrophic swash plate "separation" whatever that is, and wrecked very hard. Apparently TRex 450's used to have this problem until the swash was redesigned...and now at least this 500 had that problem. Somehow that puts a context to the idea that the Lepton is an expensive heli. Sure seems like a bargain to me.

But that aside, the 425 main blade size heli is a great size and we'll see a lot of new entrants into this space...Mikado 400 being another.

2 + 2 = 5 for extremely large values of 2.

For sure - the 500 size with 425~430 blades is simply the best fun
Easy to see and fly big, plenty of power, good stability and mobility

The 4400 4S pack on the Lepton is more for long flight times
It's extra weight will be hurting collective performance

I'm about to try a 5S 3300mah setup
On paper it looks pretty good

The Lepton weights 1650 to 1700 on 4S 3700mah
I think the TRex500's are coming in around 1800~1900

You need to check what maximum pitch people are using
when comparing climbouts
I'm running 11.5 on the Lepton
You can hear it loading up but it manages to pull it well
