If not, I will have to go back to the drawing board and expand my product lineup- http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t386419p1/

Hey Ryan;

Is you product lineup compatible with Futaba and Airtronics ? I especially like the gold anodized finish.

Rod, I just spoke with Linda at Horizon who confirmed the $1499.99 price for both system types. She could not confirm your ETA dates but it could just be she is not authorized to release that info yet. I would be thrilled with an April 22nd release date for the DSM12X.

And just to clarify, as has been mentioned here on RR before:

- their is in fact no separate heli TX. I attempted to find out if the switches are all just generically labeled but no one has said anything about that yet. Tony, how are the switches labeled on your demo 12X?

- the integrated DSM12X (JRP1200) will come with a DSM2 receiver (R1221) and no servos

- the module based 12X (JRP1210) will come with two modules: a 72Mhz module and a DSM module. It comes with no receiver as well as no servos.

Hopefully someone at the upcoming Nuremberg or WRAM hobby shows can actually pick up one of these DSM12X units and confirm how well they balance with the short SS antenna. One thing about the DSM12X is that the antenna looks "meatier" than all of the other SS antennas I've seen. Looks to be very stout and well made. Maybe it will help balance the thing!

So the rudder d/r switch or for many people known as the throttle hold is on the back right side of the tx? Aux 2 and gear are opposite of normal as well, what gives here?
Stunt modes are on opposite sides? I hope these are assignable and can easily change the stickers as that is not cool!

So the switches are not generically labeled. Since the switches are typically on opposite sides for heli and acro labeled radios, which will they choose for the one 12X version??? This could be "bad".

> hold is on the back right side of the tx?

Looks like the the rudder d/r switch is on the top, front, left side to me.

The radio pictured is a mode 1 (throttle right stick), so for mode 2 the switches are normally on the opposite side, right ?

> JR usually ship their sets in the "Heli" layout

Not in the US. The heli version radios have the FM switch on the left side. The acro versions have it on the right side.

Reassignability is good.

Well, it may not be accurate for us to compare what Tony has to what Horizon is going to release here in the USA. Aside from the major mode 1/mode 2 differences, Horizon will apparently not even have a heli badged TX as what Tony has there.

It could be confusing to have so many versions of the 12X:

the Horizon DSM12X
the Horizon 12X
the "worldwide" PCM12X heli
the "worldwide" PCM12X airplane
and potentially the "worldwide" DSX12...

Tony, have you been able to ascertain what kind of software switch assignability exists? If not, please brush up on your Japanese!

Opps, sorry, tony, I just re-read your post above and see what you're saying regarding the switches.

I can confirm, $1499 is the MAP price for either 12X flavor. The integrated one is showing current ETA of 4/22 and the module version 5/22. I can guarantee these dates are no where near accurate if history (DX7 and X9303) repeats itself.

For the people who thought this radio would go for under $1000 you are crazy.
