So dunno if this has been posted yet... but just a quick update that was published today. The JR 12x is supposed to "hit stores soon." Which is different than what they were saying in the past with it "becoming available in the near future." Here is the article on Horizon's site:

On the dealers website right after that same article it says, "Look for spring/summer delivery."

I purchased a 12x TX/RX combo in Japan last week, (110,200Yen) although I could only found them in one shop.

I've been using a JR PCM10 for the last 17 years (!) and the 12X feels similarly solid to the touch. Not at all plasticky or horrible. I prefer the touchscreen programming of the PCM10, and would prefer not to have to turn off the transmitter to access global functions (eg select model), but its definitely a quality item. Backlit screen is great.

The assignable software stick switches get a bit of getting used to but that will come in time I think.[quote]

What is this?

Sounds like it has stick switching like the Stylus. You can create "virtual" switches based on the position of any of the sticks. You can in turn use those switches to turn things on and/or off. Such as a timer. Just a guess, though.

For those who already has a 12X, may I know how many different flight mode can I create to use different dual rates/expo and mix?

On the 9X2/9303, there are 5 flight mode but only 3 sets of dual rates/expo.

On the 10X, there are 5 (or more, can't remember) and 3 dual rates/expo for each control surface. And these dual rates/expo need not be assigned as a set to the flight mode.

I fly FAI F3C and having different flight mode and dual rates/expo for every manoveur will be an advantage for me.

I just hope that sub-trim works correctly with Swash Expo turned on.

MacMan, I noticed that the photos are of a mode 1 model, is this right ? Are the T/hold and idle up switches reversed(left/right) for the different modes ? Going to order one as soon that they are available. Dave
