Do NOT make any kind of deal with JustCanopies and do NOT transfer any amount of money to this guy.

For more than 1 year ago (28th november 2006) my friend and I placed two seperated orders.
I alone transferred 510 USD. Since then he has only served bad equses or no respons at all.

He has told us several times that he have several hundred canopies to paint but this is all bull****.
For about 1 year he has told me and my friend that he is not able to make the order because he is sick - But still there is no information about this on his website . . . . . . .

Fact is that he is out of buisness and just cheat the marked as long as he can.

Once again - DO NOT MAKE ANY KIND OF DEAL WITH THIS GUY

Please warn your friends abou this guy.

I am so sick of hearing about this guy. If he wants to run a charity to fund his medical, then he should set one up- NOT take 'customers'' money. PAY US BACK!!!!

Just tryed to be pation but in the end it was no doubt about his intentions. 2 + 2 = 4

I can warn a hole lots of helifreaks for a quite long time for 500 dollars : )

If u ask me this it beond steeling.

Maybe I should make my next vacation to his hometown . . .

Just Canopies

I have been tooting this horn for a couple years myself...everytime I blasted Mort online he would email me or pm me asking why

he shafted me on a Canopy deal over 2 years ago and I have tried to convince people ever since that he is a sheister!

I'm sorry you got screwed as well...last time I emailed back and forth with Mort he was claiming the sick card again..something about bad legs or something

and then he pretty much admitted to me that he was still taking orders/money because that's the only way he could pay the medical bills...buth then he also pretty much admitted a minute later that he had NO intentions of actually painting those canopies because he was TOO sick...

That's just plain stealing if you ask me....I think everyone should try to get together and file a HUGE LAWSUIT!!....That might get his attention..

Iam going to follow this up

Its to bad so many have experienced the same - Imagine alle the money . . . For me its not the money but the princip of telling me lies and cheat everyone.
I will contact my lawyer and some offices here in Norway to get some tips to follow this up.
I will also with great interest read the information behind the links from LouInSD - Thx a lot : )

I hope you guys find a resolution to this, shouldn't be to the point where this many folks have to complain. Someone ought to pay this guy a visit. I don't care how sick or hospitalized you are, ask for help. Don't steal it.

Wow....thats too bad.

I purchased my canopy from him a few years ago and was very pleased. Got it in a reasonable amount of time and the quality work was superb.

Too bad that he's not doing good business now. I guess I know I won't be going to him for my next custom painted canopy. There are plenty of custom canopy painters out there and he should know that. Cheating customers is only going to put him out of business in the end.....and rather quickly.
