Audacity Models Pantera 50 - Tiger 50 > IRCHA 2008 and the Pantera 50

Location: Trenton, Ohio,

A while back some of us started talking about the 2008 IRCHA event. A few of us wanted to meet up at IRCHA with the Pantera's and make a strong showing. Hopefully there will be a bunch of us out there!

I cannot fly 3D, but this year, I am coming to fly!
So if your thinking, like I was, I don't fly 3D yet so I shouldn't fly, stop thinking that.... and bring your Pantera/Tiger out to IRCHA and lets just have a good time.

I know it is a few months away, but for some people it may take a while to get everything planned. So jump in and tell us whats on your mind. Maybe we can "ALL" coax John into bringing a bunch of his "new" stuff and parts. ((John-- HINT)) I am hoping to buy one of the CF frame sets soon.

I will be camping, at the flight line if possible, and I am bringing two Pantera's and I plan to fly.
WARNING: Do not plan on being inmpressed by my flying. I am the only one who gets anything out of it!

Also, if you did not know, there are showers somewhere on the AMA grounds. If someone knows more about how the camping thing works, please chime in.

So.... who is coming with their Pantera's and Tigers. And what else are you bringing. We need grills, coolers, electric...

and....

T-shirts!!! Gotta have T-shirts Anyone, anyone???

I encourage everyone to go and fly.

I am still learning, I fly smooth but not hardcore. I flew a bunch at IRCHA went through a gallon. My buddy who is really learning flew a lot too. His Dad flew at IRCHA with training gear a few years back.

GO FLY!! The field is amazing!! John was very nice an helpful at IRCHA, good to have finally met you.

I will be bringing 2 Panteras if I can keep them together that long. I also am planning on staying Fri. and Sat. night, and I will have a BBQ.

I hope that no one gets to see my chicken dance trick.

I will be going to IRCHA as well,... it's only 30min from my house.... LOL. Funny thing is... I plan on camping as well. I'll be setting up the travel trailer and flying my heart out. I will be bringing 1 or 2 Tigers. Second one if I can keep the first one whole!!

I sold another one to Terrafirma...... wife wants to know where the money's at!!!!

I hope to get there too. It's not too far from me.

Do you need to have IRCHA membership to fly? I know you need AMA.

I'll be there and am planning to fly. I've been there the last 2 years, and it is great fun. If you are staying in a hotel make your reservations early as Muncie only has a few hotels.

You need AMA AND you have to pay a fee usally 35 bucks. It enters you in for the pilot prizes, with over 700 pilots there your chances of winning aren't that great, I have gone for the last five years and several times went away with Nothing
And once went away with a heli So ya never know......

anyways, hope that helps.

I would love to attend. Are there any places to take an RV and set up? Where can I go to get details on it. I think this year would be a great event for all of us Pantera owners to show off how great this heli is.

Thanks HeliMan. Is there anything you need to do to register to attend, or just show up? I don't know if I would fly, but certainly want to attend and see the whole thing.

Thanks again for the links.

silverbullet, My first year attending was in 2007 and i did not fly. But my understanding is you can show up and watch for free. There will vendors that are setup and plenty of flying and people to talk to. If you would like to, some guys will register just to get in on the prizes they give away. I want to say it was 30.00 last year to register, with that you get a t-shirt and you get in on prizes and you can fly. You will need to be an AMA member. If I have messed anything up here, someone please correct me. But I think I am on target or really close. I believe the fee gets you an IRCHA membership too. Probably not a bad deal. I do not know what the benefits of being an IRCHA member are...but I know it is a good time and I suspect it will be even better this year since I will get to fly.

lego...leave your suitcase at home and pack your Pantera instead.

If room is the issue. Or...mail it to me, or someone else you trust, and I will bring it to IRCHA for you, then you can fly all ya want to. That would take an alwful lot of trust to do I know... but it is an idea, especially if there is someone you know really well and can rely on.
