I have built many helicopters and worked on just as many. I pay alot attention to detail and quality of my builds. Here is what I have noticed on my Xtreme build. The ball link screws are way to weak. Many of the bolts were not machined very well. The metal on the head and many parts have sharp edges. The main complant that I have is the flybar paddles. I would never fly with them. Dave was at the field with his and man the helicopter flew great and was very smooth and quite. I hope as I get more into this build the Xtreme will start to impress me. Alot of you guys have built this kit, please let me know if I am wrong. Belive me I am not one of those guys that is never happy, I just want the best built helicopter that I can build.

Sorry to hear you feel there are some things in your kit not quite in line. If you have any screws or other parts that you feel are lacking please let us know, I would give the black paddles a chance atleast in one or two flights, if the head is set up to react quick the RjX paddles will help to keep the Xtreme stable during flight, but if your looking for fast cyclics you might want to use a more aggressive paddle as the white MA's I fly, but paddles are a personnel choice the same as fuel, mufflers, servos, ect. There are many 4mm paddles on the market to choose from, please let me know if we can be of any futher help. Thanks

Like Rusty said, give the paddles a shot, I felt the same way and built mine from the box with 95mm V-paddles. Then after a friend built his Xtreme with the stock paddles and I flew that, I wished I would have given them a shot first, I really like the feel they give coupled with the fast settings in the manual. The 2mm hardware for the link balls is a little hard to fit to a driver, but it does work flawlessly on mine and I beat the snot out of it every weekend.

If you are going to worry about some sharp edges I would go back to flying Raptors, There all Plastic..(just joking) Many RJX owners here have flown over many, many, many flights with no WORN OUT or broken parts. Once you fly this heli you will know you got the best.

Thanks for all the commits. I like the head and the way it looks. I do fly raptors but with Kasama pro heads polished and balanced. I also am putting together a Synergy N9 with a all metal head with Kasama grips. I want this helicopter to be the best and I just want to make sure I have all the best parts as possible. Rusty do the paddles need CA to keep them from coming apart?

The paddles stay together for me with out any issue when I was flying them, but the ends can be removed to add weight, so if you don't plan on adding weights to the paddle I would just CA the ends on and forget about them.

is correct. The paddles are designed to be able to add and remove weight for different kinds of flight, but if you don't want additional weight in the paddles I would CA the ends on and fly'm

Thanks Dave and all you guys. I think I will try to use them on the first flight. I do need to get a new color because the screw will not tighten up to the shaft on one side. I will order it tomorrow from Scott. Thanks again. I will post some pics also.

I like the Extream50 designed and flying GREAT, it very smooth stable and fast for 3D,but the things i 'm not satisfy is the kit quality the Metal head is made from a solf aluminium, the Links,Bolts, screaws are machine finish not properly and material is not a good quality (solf)one time i had a hard landing and found that the Arm grip and Center hub were bent(i have KASAMA head and i have a hard crash so many time and the main parts never damaged just replaced Spindle, main sharp and Ballinks).
So far i 'm happy with how Extream flying still never crash but any way i have a back up spare parts with a cheap price if compare with other products.

Im having a hard time believing that the center hub was bent from a hard landing. yes things can be made of different grades of Alu. but bent just from a hard landing. I could see if you crash and your blades hit the ground very hard. But just a hard landing??? The way that the center hub is machined makes it hard to bend. Just my 2 cents.
MY KIT WAS PERFECT

I've got the very first Xtreme 50 kit that came into the US, it was built and flown at IRCHA, although at the envent last August the engine was brand new and running a bit lean this machine has performed flawlessly since day one, NO ISSUES with the quality of the kit, we haven't had any troubles with screws, or any of the aluminum head parts, still running the original hard 3D spindle that is shipped in the kit, Steven has about 7 gallons thru it now and it's flown hard every weekend.

Hy guys

I am distributor Rjx Italy

X-treme sunshinembf is the first high-performance, and is just born, here in Italy we have very well in crash tests, the result was very positive, broken at the time were contained in the classic parts that break in a flybar normal crash, main frame, spindle, tail boom, main gear etc. .. But the main frame is very hard to have resist violent shocks, while rollerblading at the time seem to resist. For even though the materials may seem delicate, assure that have high resistance, certainly in a crash something must give. For gifts of flight are very extreme reactivity is comparable only to a class 90 ely, and here in Italy my pilot Luigi Rungi 12 years has preferred X-treme as flight Stratus and X-treme is now his sunshinembf . guys, I saw an extreme plow into the ground HARD nose first this weekend, and it held up quite well. Blades survived (that was obviously luck), but very minimal damage. I called the owner later that night to see how bad it was, and he said it was boom, skids, feathering shaft, main shaft, a couple of links and a new lipo (bent it in half). There may have been something else, but needless to say nothing major. I'm impressed at the strength of it. I'm wanting to pull the trigger on buying one of these.......
