Hypothetical situation: You smash your ship early Saturday morning practicing your latest, greatest, "knock their socks off" maneuver with a few hours left before that funfly you were getting ready for a month. You rush home to rebuild the ship with all the spare parts sitting on your workbench: Which "smashed up" ship would you rather be unloading on that workbench to rebuild it with a few hours to go???

I augered in one of the Furys the other day on a backflip takeoff and had the average crash, It would be covered if min air made a crash kit. I bought the parts from my LHS and was ready to fly in an hour and a half.

I toattley smashed the the Raptor in one time.
Everything, stripped serovs, busted the 601 gyro. I bought a new kit and my buddy was helping me, we built a brand new kit, not the arf in 45 minutes. What does that say about the Raptor??

Where's the Hawk or Falcon

Again, I vote with Alvin......where is the Hawk IV or Falcon.

If you can remember the Poll a few months ago the Hawk was one of the most popular 30's. Second only to the Raptor. And now that more people are discovering them every day, they would have even more representation.

I guess they are always forgotten because there are fewer postings on them because they do not have as many problems to be solved.

My appologies to the Century fans, the poll allowed me only 10 choices. Next time I promise to be more considerate

I'd say they all rebuild quickly, it all depends on 2 things.
1) your familiarity with the kit. And how often you've rebuilt it
2) how many spare parts you have on hand. A simple crash can take a week if your waiting on parts.

I totalled my Freya at a funfly on a Saturday, sheared the roll pin on the tail shaft, going fast backwards inverted about 40 feet off the ground... wasn't pretty. Broke two frame pieces and all the rest... Went home, happened to have all the parts, got it ready to fly in 2.5 hours.

I botched an auto on my x-cell st and bent half the bolts on the frames, needless to say it took a whole lot longer than 2.5 hours...

Plastic frames rock!
