Hi All,

I am looking for a new or used motor for an HDX500 or 3DX500, nothing powerful since I am a beginner!

I am also interested to know what is the best motor for the HDX500SE? With a 4-cell LiPo and stock 24T pinion, what is the best motor? I only do sports flying and mild 3D, and I prefer long flight duration. Also what is the recommended ESC?

I got an MT Dragon W35D2 1130Kv with 24T pinion, and I got more than 7 mins of sport flying with loop and spin using 2S3P DN Power 2150mA 20C packs.

Did you mean 3S2P instead? I don't think this heli will fly with 2S3P. Also what is the rating of your ESC?

I meant two batteries, 11.1V, in shunt configuration to have higher discharged current (2150ma each x 2 = 4300mA).

The recommended ESC is what ever the max amps draw of the motor is. I run a Mega 22/30/3E 70A max, with a CC 80 ESC, and alot of guys are running Z-Power motors for extreme 3D. I have a Sonix that I ran a few times, not a bad motor, runs a little hot, I will have to break it in a little more and see if it cools down any.
