Upon looking over the photos of the new machine, I am really disapointed. There are some areas that leave me curious. Some, "what the hell were they thinking" for a 3D machine. I mean, same old flimsy plastic fins? We dont even use Horizontals almost anymore, and if we do, very small G10 or 2mm Carbon. Seriously. Rear landing dampers??? Looks like to me someone had to do something for the screwup in dimensions at the front to rear landing mounts to fix it, so now we would need spacers. 3D, or any friggin machine worth a damn does not need these ridiculous landing dampers. Throw em away.

Do any of you look at what is out there? Or have even flown one?. Ill get the same old "Been doing this for 20 years" line. Yeah, well, that 20 years has come and gone, and maybe ya need to close up shop.

Most great helis out there, the boom mounted tail servo design is being moved out and we are putting them back up front for protection. I see the bat copter does have a well thought out tail servo rod design. Who built that deserves credit. But then, we blow the whole nice tank placement CG by sticking TWO CCPM servo in the ass end!!! Are drugs involved here? Now we have to protect TWO leads to the front and keep an eye on them. Vibes are harsher at the tail by geometry alone. Let alone oil and exhaust contamination back there (Nitric Acid its called oh engineers). With the bigger 90, jesus, I even hope we wont also need two extension leads to get to the receiver. This is a bad decision. Dumb. Period.
Answer this, looking at the pics on the site, that elevator arm is not and will not setup to 90 degrees! WTH is wrong with it? Do the pitch and ailron lever line up 90? Do you even know that 3D, or any modern flying pilot demands a symmetrical setup in this century? Why was that elevator arm engineered wrong?

Then I see the same old horrible engineering mistakes left in, that should have been wiped off planet earth, like the complete disaster tail pitch arm standoff that the pitch plate hits on the SE and STD belt tail, nice... In 3D, we use almost ALL the available travel UN-OBSTRUCTED to get proper tail authority in some maneuvers, we get this by setting our limits at the servo arm (mech gain)and gyro (elec gain) as close too 100 percent of travel we can get. Now, this is an UNSAFE design. I would not go near this. My Dominator shaft system does not have this very unsafe problem. Thats why it should be the shaft system, or at least, redesign the belt tail gearbox.
The only good unit made by QWW, the shaft system, that does not have the above problems, should have been made standard, one machine, each size. Jettison this Standard and Pro BS. They have a great new tailbox for it I saw, where the hell is it? Where did it go? Why not try 2mm single stack carbon (2 plate) frame design...dump the heavy 3mm stacked crap...ah its useless to wish. I will probably be told, like others, to start a heli shop or shutup. LOL.

There was a chance to build a really good machine here, clean slate, and this is the result? Hope the main gear at least works well in this one even. I even volunteered a nice 3D Vert fin design, as the Horizontal is useless for 3D, and the one now is okay. Dump the plastic and crud clamps too.

Ya think, last but not least, taking the time for such a new machine, designing a new purpose built, nice sleek thin profile canopy would be too much to ask. The existing are too wide and heavy.

Hell, I think my good old Dominator I have kicks this things ass, with the over 20 redesigned and fixed mods of course.

Like I said, I am sorry, but I am honest to a fault. Nothing personal, These are my thoughts on the machine shown and it being tagged "Primarily for 3D pilots". Did I miss anything.

Also, Quickworldwide, What does "when we have second article" mean? I hope that means a redesign.

OK. I'm confused. JA, you were going to show these guys what these bad boys could do. You have been teasing us with the promise of the only 3D video known to exist in the free world. What happened man?

For the dominator Video, yep, it is done, being edited. I was gonna let the HHI guys see it first, but screw that. It will be posted, then you can enjoy it as I leave with a "salute".

Remember, I made so many changes to that dominator, I will only list what was changed after the video is up.

For the new machine, no FN chance! And frankly, why doesnt any one else put a video up? You want one so bad, go get a Dominator, tweek it out, and tape a flight for us also. I would love to see your flying too bro.

I am glad to be getting away from this.

JA,

What's confusing to folks is the sudden turn of events.....Both the deal with you and with Clark.

Overnight you went from #1 Ambassador to Enemy #1. Clark dissapeared like "vaporware". I'm sure there is a lot to the story behind the scenes and that the public will never know the truth....That's ok, I can assure you we'll survive....

Folks have been asking for video of some aggressive 3D with QWW machines. I guess there are none out there otherwise they would have been already posted......

You offered to post yours weeks ago but in reality, it would be meaningless at this point......do us all a favor and don't bother posting it, bro........

What the H**L?

You know, a simple "hey guys, I have an opinion about what needs changed on the Bat Copter" would have been the proper way of doing things. The sudden "attack" is unwarrented and downright immature. I will not pretent to understand why this sudden stab in the back, nor do I need to understand it. However I think you need to understand that one, this was the prototype and the frames had to be assembled first in order to check the whole mechanics. Longer elevator arms and a couple other parts are being made as we speak. Two, no matter what your opinion there is a big difference between "speaking your opinion" and being downright jerky and spiteful. Just because someone doesn't act on your suggestion doesn't mean that no one listened, people are allowed to disagree. We have been working hard here to change production, packaging, shipping, customer service, etc. We are even designing our site to allow customers to customize their own heli. I have seen Irwin give people parts, and some helis on credit, with some people owing a great deal of money. Even though we got burned by some (they know who they are), Irwin as well as the rest of us have been working hard to get things running better. The one thing I have a hard time tolerating is someone who was invited to come here several times, have neglected to do so, and then have the nerve to talk trash about something they have never seen fly, or even seen in person for that matter. Opinions and input are appreciated, but not spiteful bashing, especially when unwarrented. Why don't you try calling up some other heli manufacturers, ask for their owner, and try to give them suggestions on their helis? Let me know how far you get. We are here to help, listen, and answer questions. Please don't bother starting a pissing contest about this as I will not be drawn into an arguement that would be pointless. I just felt it neccessary to address a pointless attack.

Chris, Whatever. Your talking in circles. I have been at the shop a couple of times. Typical QWW making sh$t up to cover your asses. You have enough damage out in the world anyway with no help from me. Your laughable as it is.

The machine is UNSAFE. I will make sure people know this until it is fixed.

Good luck with it.

PS: I dont know anything about Clark dissapearing. All I know is he was called back to duty.

I dont give a rats ass about your thoughts, I will post our vid elsewhere on RR. I will go with my rep intact. Cant say the same for you guys.

Good bye.

JA, Are you bi-polar man? So far you are the only one on here that is making claims that you don't apparently seem to be able to back up. You keep talking about the vid and how you are "well known". Sounds like a bunch of BS to me.....always has, but I thought I would give you the benefit of the doubt. Go call another heli manufacturer as was suggested above and I'll bet they will say "who the hell is JA?" and then hang up the phone. Then your comment about this heli is "unsafe". THEY ARE ALL UNSAFE.....any thing that has a rc reciever and recieves signals are potentially unsafe. Geez, I think you need to stick to playing guitar. Of course it also can be unsafe if you're playing outdoors and the humidity is high....lol.....ask me how I know....lol. Brotha you need to calm down and do a little growing up.
