QuickWorldWide Ep and Wet Fuel Helis > I want the new batcopter!

After selling my ep 475 to my best friend,I decided to go to a 50 size nitro.Went with the Pantera from audacity.Although I am pleased with the machine,I stopped in to see Irwin and the gang. And there it was-the Batcopter 50.You know, when I sit back and look at my pantera-plastic everywhere(nothing wrong with plastic)it is not like looking at qww machines. It's like a piece of art-the attention to detail and the heart put into these machines are superior to anything I've ever seen in the industry. It's like, would you rather have a mustang or a ferrari,a S-10 or a dodge hemi.I think I'll fly my pantera for a bit then take out all the goodies and put into there new 50.I had no problems with my 475 nor qww in general. The pantera was cheep and flies well for me to beat on for awhile-then I'll get my ferrari!!

I just looked it up. I was sort of hoping it would be a batman heli. LOL!

Man, I miss the eighties.

Yeah, abrupt because what I was hoping, and what many were hoping, were some changes that were made aware, and hoped listened too, went down the toilet. Its a mess. Plain and simple.

I think my Dominator on the field will wipe its ass with it. I would video tape that anyday. Of course, they would need a better pilot somewhere to make it even. I went past hovering in 1985.

OK, so you don't like the new 50. I thought that it looked pretty good. More support for the main and clutch. Fuel tank in a much better position for CG. I guess it's a shame that you came in here and just bashed the crap out of something that you haven't even flown, just on looks alone. There are quite a few folks out there that like the looks of it. Oh well.

Sorry. They ruined the CG. Look closer. Can you see why?

And I wont like the new 70 and 90, they will be based on it. And a lame name.

Yep, I bashed it. Its a mess of old with a couple good things. The Dominator is way better IMO. The Dominator only needed some real properly designed changes and it would have slayed this new machine.

Life isnt always fair bro. Sorry. Read my other post so you know why I am not happy with the design. No, its not based on looks, but design, utility and safety.

I like the triple bearing change, and the tail rod and tail servo placement and setup, and that they widened the gear stance. Three things in a good direction. Thats it. Not good.

Like I said, I am sorry, but I am honest to a fault. Nothing personal, I like you actually. These are my thoughts on the machine shown and it being tagged "Primarily for 3D pilots". Did I miss anything.

Another opinion

If you don't want to hear my opinion, GET OFF THE QWW FORUM!!!!! I suppose we are to just sit back and let you talk crap about a machine you haven't even been in contact with, never seen built, never flew, etc. All I know is that we have used the same tail mechanics in every machine we have to date with no incident. If you have input on how you think the tail should be designed, by all means share with the rest of the class. I have no problem with opinions or suggestions, just people who flip flop because they are having a bad day. So give your input in a civilized matter, or go spew your mindless babble on another forum to someone who cares. You don't have to care about my thoughts, but your disrespectfullness just shows that you are immature and can't engage in civilized conversation. Just another thought you don't have to give a rats ass about.

Chris

P.S. The gentleman on the forum link below actually comments our tail is the best one he has ever seen. So who to believe?

Uhhh, followed your link, didn't see anything about a "best tail ever" There was however something about "missing parts" and "wanting to sell his new heli at an exteme loss" to get rid of it.

So nothing about the tail but I did see a pretty pissed off customer in your link!

And BTW, there are more then 1% unhappy customers on this forum, just not all want to waste time discussing it anymore.

Note#3 1/11/08 REAR PRO METAL BELT TRANSMISSION

This is one of the best rear transmissions that I ever used.

From the other thread that you couldn't find the comment, but I'm sure you weren't looking very hard

Here's another postitive comment.......has to be a misprint

Quote
The motor installation design is very good, because have easy access for remove and installation, also the main motor 6 screws mount are suspended in rubber bushings/spacers that practically eliminate most of the engine vibration.

No upgrades seem to be neccessary....no can't be true!!

Quote
Actually all top of the market models include CF or G10 frames, Modular sections, minimum plastic parts, aluminum structural high tension parts and CCPM mechanism; founded in DOMINATOR QWW. This model included in the basic kit many of the upgrades not included in other brands. I only add the PRO rear transmission, Finish screws caps and the Zimmerman pipe to my kit.

Manual seems to be fine......contray to popular belief.....

Quote
Just verify these minor observations (identify in the manual instructions in BLUE COLOR words) and all the assembly will be straight forward.

CJames, the above comments just seemed to escape you vent....

So CJames....you come in here after a month to comment....I guess you were just waisting some time?..

Once again, I see negative comments on other forums all of the time without the drama. Truely funny observation of "grown up" behavior.

Have fun 59 hours on my Quick gasser without mechanical failure...

You ought to clean your nose off, pretty soon that brown stain on ur nose will be permanent.
Just thought the best he could offer was a post where there was a very DISATISFIED customer on it
I guess you failed to see the irony of it.

I see your still following along every qww post firmly defending them, and insiting everyone that ever was ripped off is a liar and has no excuse to ever complain about it.

I don't mind really, I just give it time, sooner or later it WILL happen to you and then your be one here singin' the blues....

I like the colorful description. I feel like I'm in high school again.
The simple fact is there can't be a positive comment on this forum without someone calling the person with positive comments a "fan" or "on the payroll" or whatever. Everyone just wants to hear negative because it is the "popular" thing to do.

You are right about one thing, I do watch the Quick forum. As far as the rest, I don't know the individual situations, so I can't speak for them like the rest of the "save the rest of us" posters. because I haven't had any problems with 3 helis from Quick that I have owned personally in the last 4 years. I guess I'm just on a "Lucky streak" of some sort..

[quote]I don't mind really, I just give it time, sooner or later it WILL happen to you and then your be one here singin' the blues....

Well, been dealing with them for about 10 years now....still waiting. Actually, if it did happen, you probably would not read about it here. This is my hobby not my way of life.

Take care

The simple fact is someone cant complain without you jumping down their back calling them names either!

Look! Its Shuttle pilot to the rescue!
You still havent explained why the guy in the POST wasn't a happy camper, I realized when he got his new kit he "seemed" happy, hey who wouldn't be getting a new kit, its interesting how fast it went sour though?
But why is he now SO pissed? And why in the world would qww want to use that post as something to help their position??

Please don't included my review for this...

It’s clear my opinion about QWW, anyone that read my posting understand that I'm honest about the good and bad findings. The most important is that you can found a lot of good characteristics in a model, but just one fail can ruin your happiness. Qww have lot of opportunities for improvements and I guess Irwin and their people is trying to doing good - only that I don't want to be part of this progress development at my expense, time and bad moments.

Yes, I'm selling my model in good flying condition. I spend lot time in improvements and setup to fine tuned this machine, BUT I’M NOT COMPLETELY HAPPY and I asking for QWW fanatics that can appreciate this machine. I will search for other gasser trade.

CJames: I understand clearly your point of view and I know you understand all my posting regarding QWW answer to customer about their design and improvements opportunities.

Good luck to QWW and all this “new guys” that will try a new experience with them…

Regards

Julio

Well, "Bud" you missed the point completely, but that really doesn't suprise me. I would also like to know the "blatent lies" that I have been telling...

Also, I haven't missed you at all since Aug 07, so...what's your point?

The bottom line is, you came in this forum with a smarta$$ comment, and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE.

LET'S JUST TALK HELI'S PLEASE

I C. JAmes you offer building service on your profile. So I assume you are very good builder since you offer your services as a source of income.

How many heli's have you built & for how long have you been offering these services? We have had many & I mean many diplomia hanging engineers that can't read instruction in which way to install a main gear or how to build a simple counter gear assemblie with the bearing facing the proper direction so "ONE DOES NOT HAVE TO BUTCHER THE FRAMES" TO MAKE THE COUNTER GEAR FIT ACCORDING TOO THE INSTRUCTIONS.

If you come to our showroom you will see not less than 20-25 machines at any one time. Every new kit is triple checked for fit & I fly every machines myself for any design flaws.....

Mr. James I am not familiar with you but since you are a "critic" & a professional builder I will offer you any of our new EP, GAS or Nitro machines to build. You can post what ever your finding are only if supported by pictures & TRUTH.

This goes for any one who is interested in 21 years of experience building & designing RC helicopters. Also I can delivery as I promoise. WE are small company that takes pride in producing a very high quality machine...with EP, Nitro or Octane powered crafts.

IRWIN

It is funny we ship kits daily many to repeat customers
that own more than one of our machines.

We produce ONLY mass production & CNC parts so if all is packed according to our BOM a kid can build our machines, let alone a "engineer" at least one that can read directions & can take responsibility for improper assembly.

DID I insult you, qww or the helicopter? NO! I just pointed out the fact that the link provided by Chris was to a very upset customer, and that thoughout the past several years, there have been a number of very unsatisifed customers out there. {more then the 1% quoted}

you cant deny the fact that in EVERY unhappy customer post you rush in right away in insulting whoever was unhappy with their product or service.

Irwin,
Thanks for the offer but I have no intrest in building another qww helicopter.
