thats not a good idea youll just have a thousand people to tell you not to use the brushed setup go brushless from the start. And how much we all love our kings.

well the most reasonable price Im seeing was for the brushed version $150, but then seen one with a B/L O/R for $200 so am leaning towards that one, but they dont tell ya what brand it is....so whats the scoop on the stock electrix ?

No the stock radio is fine but a programmable is so much nicer and a 2.4GHZ makes flying anywhere safer. Its almost worth The RTF just to get a battery and servos.

just checked out jag and looks pretty good, thanx.....so the only bad things Im hearing is the stock brushed motor is no good and the belt wants to come off the pulley, if thats the only problems things are lookin good, so just being a rate unit whatdoya think about the stock gyro?

I think the belt comes off the (tension pulleys) when It's not setup right I had this happen to me once. I was running the belt too tight. That prematurely wore the belt. I have since changed that belt oiled it set the tension and have not had any problems in over a 100 flights. The brushed motor gets hot and likes to melt things. And the stock rate gyro is good for hovering but a HH gyro will help you with forward flight much more.

Im usin a gy240 and love it the stock remote cant control the 401 without mods anyway. Use the money to get a 240 they are simple to use local control no remote functions and cant use a digital servo. you get a lot more with a 401 for 20 bucks more but the 240 simplicity is awesome stick it down with tape and forget about it.
