Ok so I purchased the HBK2 with the brushless, 25A ESC, 3100kv 1800 mAh 12C bat (which I found out Friday was out of stock at the time). Apparently it will be shipped on Monday which should be overnight even using ground. After reading several of these threads I have made two additional purchases:

1. Three extra batteries (Ouch )
2. Cellpro 4s charger

I CAN'T WAIT ANYMORE

I have read RADD's as many times as I care to until I can actually practice what I read
I have read all the threads on tweaking the setup, out of the box prep, etc...I just want to HOVER!

I suppose shopping for spare parts is next.

Sorry no real question involved...Just extreme anticipation

Nice...You could have at least dropped off another video .

Shopping for crash parts isn't as fun when your already in the hole without even having your heli yet.

I found "Waiting is the hardest part" ( Tom Petty There really is not much you can do about except wait. Crashing doesn't bother me one bit, I can fix it in no time providing I am not WAITING for parts !!

My camera girl wasn't home or I would of shot a vid. Its a balmy 54 today the foot of snow has melted its like a swamp around here. Its nice to actually fly in a long sleeve shirt and house shoes. Well its too dark now I couldn't see the heli no more just a black ball in the sky this darkness early thing sucks.

Well I have about $100.00 left TOTAL for spare parts and tools. Granted the spare parts should have probably come before the CellPro charger but I have read the horror stories about improperly charged LiPo's.

Now, If you only had 100 bucks to spend on spare parts and of course said tools to replace these parts...

Sound Off:

I'm in the same boat. Ordered it Thursday, shipped Friday and UPS tracking says it won't get here until this coming Thursday. For cryin' out loud. It's only coming from Cali to NC. I just hope the UPS gorillas don't put somebody's gun safe on top of it. I got the King 2 with the 3900kv and 25A BEC. The kit also comes with an extra battery and training gear. I've been reading the Cellpro 4s reviews too. Make it sound like a must have. Mean while, I've been crashing...I mean flying the FMS to get a feel of the controls. I actually flew 3D today.....and crashed.

thats the problem with FMS. You can fly 3D when in reality you cant even get a king off the ground. That may be harsh but its dang true.

Peoples tend to jump ahead too quickly with a SIM, it can give you a false sense of security. If you crash on the SIM you are more than twice as likely to crash in REAL life.( or I should 5 times more likely)

I understand that FMS is easier to fly than the real deal. But it can give you some idea which controls does what. So I went in a made the helicopter "Uncrashable". Does the King 2 come with that option?

Tryan,

I ordered two sets of balls with the heli. Can never have too many balls! Yes, I got the training set.

Hey SilverSRT,

I ordered from about 1.5 hours north of where I live in CA. If they had a store front, I would probably go pick it up. Although driving my truck up there would cost more than ground shipping

I may upgrade the motor at some point but for my newbie status smaller is better. Although did I mention I have Big Yellow Balls
