FINALLY, I actually got a 5-8 sec hover outside and that was with a little wind!!!!!

I finally got the heli fixed, set up, the moon and start aligned, and hovered my heli! I am sooooo stoked dudes (that was for you slider in cali language)!

The heli did what i wanted it to do, not what it wanted to do! Can you tell, I am a little excited. The first hurdle cleared, now just about 39 more to go, but the first is the hardest, right!!!!

I will snag my neighbor when he gets home and try to shoot some vid. he he he, I giddy!!!

5sec leads to 30sec then to 1min then the whole pack. Inside were all thinkin a little yeah 5sec big whoop. but we all remember our first hover like that I was telling my wife my daughter my neighbor and considered taking an add in the local paper after my first hover. That mindframe of total concentration you had is what does it so stay there and dont let anything break your concentration. If you loose it fly right through it and bring it back.

Good job BBB Thats the first biggest hurdle. Its nice to bring it back from a flight and not have to fix it.

Karl, see if you can figure out what's wrong with this. It won't crank up and everything seems to be put together right.

It ain't got no gas in it.

Karl would of made a great heli pilot

I know the feeling Tryan. Triple B is so incredibly excited that I bet you he ran(I mean tried to run) across the street to get his neighbor and try to get a VID recorded today. That would be sweet

there wont be a video. That big burly bastard ran to the neighbors broke down the door they called the cops. Hes now in jail he used his one phone call to place an order from jaghobbies for purple stuff. His wife promised to bring the king to the yard so he can fly but has to give up his congical visit. Just an insight into the life of tripleB.

That's possible, OR he was running (almost) across the street and he fell in a manhole cover and is STUCK there---in the street Yelling for help. I could be wrong but his diameter exacly matches the diameter of a manhole.

Beware SilvrSRT10 don't think the king is gonna be anything like FMS. I hope you got an 8 or 9t pinion and no bigger? Im trying to scare you if you cant tell but truthfully hovering is about 100 times harder for real than FMS.

You will soon learn why TRIPLEB's accomplishment is so grand.

I wen to a winter indoor flying event a year or so ago and they had g3 set up on a laptop.. Everybody was flying on it with great success, I went over and setup the trex to fly like mine and then issued the challenge if they could go 6 minutes with that setup they could do 6 with my bird.... The only guy who could fly it was a 3D trex flyer who was very good by the way... FMS will help you get your thumbs working but not like a real heli will...

Tom..... No "D" flying....

I understand and I'm heeding your warning. I have a pinion pack of 8,9 & 10T coming. Per your advice I'll start off with the 9T. And I wasn't belittling Burly. I've heard the stories and seen the video's of how difficult they can be to fly. He should be proud. I'm sure if I ever get to Burly's position, I'll be posting here with my accomplishment. But be prepared for a bunch of &^$$%^^& stories before I do. I'll share my frustration just as easily.

Cant wait for the stories!
The biggest thing I can tell you to help you is the heli will stray like walking a dog through a pack of squirrels so hold the leash tight and keep that dog close to you. If you let that dog roam a bit hes gonna take off on ya. RADDS school of flight is good info. If you drift out of a 4x4 square sit it down put the heli back in the middle and try again. and repeat and repeat and repeat etc. etc. etc.
