OK!!! Friday evening we shut down registration with 89 pilots registered! Absolutely awesome flying, and awesome pilots prizes, thanks to tons of vendors supporting our hobby and MHA! Vendors will be posted at www.flymha.com Please support those who support our hobby!

1 Up: It looks like you owe me big time! No rain at all in the forecast. So what if it's 95 degrees??? Take a dip with Dutch.

Registration opens at 0800 Saturday for those coming in late Friday night. 2.4 GHz is not being impounded, 87% of the pilots were on 2.4 G.

450 flying at Rips tonight!

Tomorrow is the Beast/Bobby Watts 450 course. Just don't call them if you need a plumber.... Robin is set for the Agility Challenge, and the infamous MHA Smackdown is 7:00 PM tomorrow night. Where did Bobby Watts start his career????

PLEASE: THE MHA FF is not at my house, and it is not at the MHA club field in Davidsoniville! The FF is at

Patuxent River Park
16000 Croom Airport Road
Upper Marlboro, MD 20772

38°45'7.02"N
76°42'32.52"W

See you all tomorrow!

Thanks Wayne

For a great day at the field! I came back after freshening up at the hotel and getting a good dinner to put in 6 night flights with my 450! A bunch of guys there watched and liked the light config I had on mine, only one other guy flew his heli and one airplane guy. I guess the big night fly event is tomorrow, along with a bunch more flyers to spend the day burning up that nitro!!

I quit flying at 12:30am, so see you tomorrow (later today!) but not so bright and early for me and thanks again for putting on such a great event year after year!

Thanks Wayne and all for another great event. You held off the rain but we got as wet (sweating, 100deg). Other then the heat all was good. All three of us good in some flying, met and talked to alot of people, saw some great flying. We plan on being back next year. Later, Dave Davison

Thanks to all those who came to the MHA Fun Fly this past weekend! We've been hoping for sunshine for the past few years, and this year somebody overachieved on the sun and HEAT!

This year we had 128 registered pilots and who knows how many spectator pilots, but I've never seen so many campers and cars at this event.

We'll post a complete list on www.flymha.com soon, but I want to thank the vendors who donated all the helicopter kits, blades, magazines, batteries, canopy covers, fuel, simulators etc to help the event. If a pilot did not get a prize, they did not check their number! A lot of vendors really stepped up to the plate to help us out, we all need to support those who helped us.

This year's Helicopter Agility Challenge, 450 Challenge and MHA smack down were some of the best I've seen. The pilot skill continues to get better and better. Beast and Bobby Watts promised me "nobody will win the 450 challenge", yet three of four people made it! Art Hughes, Dr. Thumbs and Piro Pete fought it out for one, two and three on the smackdown.

The first three places for the novice challenge won plaques. Last place won a G4 simulator!

We hope to see you all next year!

Thanks Wayne, Paula, and everyone with MHA!!

Had a Great Time!!!

Wayne's wife Paula... is the unsung hero of this event - that Lady puts her heart and soul into it... "A special thanks to you Paula!!"

LOVED the Challenge... a neat event!! Nice smooth flying Rob... in winning it.

The NOTAR taking off and then doing that stall turn... was just Too Cool!!

Congrats Art for winning the Smackdown (with a weak engine at that)!! Rob sure gave you a run for your money!

It was Truly Great to see and talk with everyone!!! Got to also meet a bunch of new people... that was really cool!! It seemed I was talking so much... that I didn't really get that much time to fly. That would be par for the course.

Tony and Jeri - good seeing you guys! It still blows my mind that you will ride that motorcycle all the way out from Ohio to attend an event for a day

Raja - had fun fixing on that heli with a flashlight. Nice Flying!

Nabi, Will, and Carey(aka Smiley) - I wish we had more time to chat!!

Jeff G - It was really nice to see you and catch up on your new career! I can hear your excitement on your success, and couldn't be happier for you!!

Bill, Dave, James, Ray, Ripper - Great hangin with you guys!!!

Onto HOD... can't wait!!

Wow, 128 pilots!

Now I'm curious, with all the pilots there and searing heat, how much fuel did you guys burn? I spent 4 hrs in the air with my gas burners going though 1 and 1/3 gallons of fuel. Can we take a poll to see who burned the most gas?? Would be interesting to see!
