First off doug. yes I have hovered FF & FFF paterns and basic sport flying. granted all have been with fixed pitch. but still flying.. And yes tryan idel-up was off. LHS said to use a ferris? ring to avoid interference from ESC. Any way orderd new parts today now back to waiting I will just wait till next weekend.

What did you say I wasn't paying attention?
Its just that a ferrite donut wont solve a full blown throttle and full cyclic crash. your radio was either hit or something is terribly wrong a ferrite ring will stop twitches but thats about it. Did you look around and see anybody holding a radio in their hands and laughing? Oh and by the way did you change out the JST connectors for deans? the brushless setup can burn the jst up and cause all sorts of problems.

Yes I did change to the deans as soon as i got it. and no outher radios in sight. I live in an apartment and I was out in the parking lot. something simular happened with another heli. when it weht full left cyclic for no reason. but that was a walkera. I thought it was just the inferior electronics. I beleve it's time to buy a 2.4 set up. I have been flying RC since 1986 and have had radio hits in the past. and lost some pretty nice aircraft. Just this past year I got into helis. as you can fly just about anywhere it's safe. I'am just going to rebuild recheck test & retest & check & recheck. and then I'll take her outside and try again. I'am very stubborn that way.

I started flying planes around 86 but girls suddenly became more interesting. Helis are now more advanced making them easier to fly but remember all the crystal changes and clothes pins frequencies we went through standing 10ft away from other pilots and all the stuff like that. Well now there are a lot more frequencies bombarding the air I work in broadcast electronics industry and I just didnt feel safe with anything but a Futaba 6EX 2.4GHZ. In short helis can fly anywhere yes but can your radio fly anywhere? Todays radios have a digital signature locking your TX to your RX and always moving around in freq.

I totally agree and this is why I'am looking in the 2.4 gig it would replace the 8 radios I have now... funny thing is I built a shark .40 heli back in 87 but was afraid to try and fly it because of radio hits.
