Align T-REX 600N 700N > Align RCE-G600 Govenor - occasional surging/jumping

I am using this governor in my T600N. It seems to hold speed pretty well, but every now and again the throttle will jump or surge, just for a split second. I am using a Spektrum system (AR-7000 reciever) and a Futaba 3155 servo. Anyone experience this? Is there something I have overlooked in the setup?

Thanks,
David

Did you ever resolve this issue? If so how?
I'm also experiencing problems with this govenor.
I've set up my DX7/AR7000 as per some instructions I found on a forum so that the head speed changes when switching between Normal/Idle up 1/Idle up 2. Unfortunately the head speed 'dosen't change but I suffer from occasional overspeeds.
I've check the magnets, the green / red light and I've recalibrated the throttle travel.

No, I tried and tried and never got it resolved. I replaced the governor with a new one thinking it was defective, no luck. I ended up putting a RevMax in and have had zero problems. I hope you get it resolved, if so, please post your findings.

I'm using the Align governor with a JR PCM9XII...
When I swich from Normal to Idleup 1, for one or two seconds I get head overspeed! Is not a problem for me but... I would prefer not having this kind of issue...

I'm helping a friend that is having the same problem as the original post. All is fine for part of the flight in idle up 1 then it speeds up for no reason. Switching into idle up 2 shows no change in RPM during the episode. The problem started after a 1/4 throttle hot start. Set up is per instructions with the light changing as it's supposed to.
I'm not sure if it's changing to the higher RPM setting on it's own or if the sensor is failing intermittently and it's defaulting to the throttle curves.

Anyone found a fix for this? Other than a different governor.

You should be able to hear if it is running lean. It will sounds higher pitched and cackley. In my experience an engine surging with a gov indicates running too rich.

Here is a tip; TUNE THE ENGINE WITH THE GOV OFF.

Most govs will suge a little when running rich, some govs dont care but your still wasting fuel and not getting the most power out of your engine.

Could be junk in the carb or bad fuel lines. What is the fuel delivery,(Ie fuel magnet, os or ys, what pipe) when the engine speeds up it is USUALLY because it has gone lean. Also you may want to reset the gov, making sure the head speed and parameters are set up correctly.

The carbs been flushed several times and is tuned well. It's an OS hyper with stock pick up using quality fuel line.

I'll actualy get my hands on the thing today, so far I've been just talking on the phone with the owner. I think we'll try reset the gov. but it was working fine then just started acting up.

Something I'll add is that it will slow back down on it's own after a brief time.

I experienced the same thing, except with mine the engine would very slowly come down, then start surging badly (throttle servo would open and close) - very un-nerving.
