Alright guys,

I thought i would get in a little video, just to see if I could do it with my phone and also just to show I am trying.
My neighbor wanted to fly this morning, fairly calm, but with some gusts. He got the blade cx i think. Of course his counter rotating blades makes it easy for him, so i just had to try mine.

I see that i am going to have to get some different training gear for one, and then also dont pay attention to the last 5 seconds, VERY BAD.

I hope this is the right way to put in the link.

oh tripleB your still waiting for the heli gotta get your mind in front of it so you know where its gonna go not where its gone. (you'll understand that someday soon) and for now keep it tail in its hard enough to hover let alone get in a different orientation and try to remember which way to move the sticks by then its gone you have to cut the throttle and start all over.

In short keep practicing and one day it will just click.

Not the sim stuff again? He already has one Any moron can fly a sim (I know)I was doing loops rolls and landed just fine before I ever had a helicopter (It was FSOne a blade cp). The sim is a thumb training tool not a substitution for the real thing.

I don't have one at all and may never have one. We all know there are RC simulators so we don't need the constant reminder.

Trible B, What can say, You're the Greatest !! Your balls are Bigger than I thought they were ! Big Burly Bastard fits you, you are indeed Burly, I wouldn't mess with YA !! The digital speed of the camera is giving the illusion that your blades are bent, almost like boomerangs You made my day Triple B Think of it like when you drove a car for the first time, you were nervous and unsure, and now you don't even think about it. It's kinda like that but a little Harder

Sheesh

You can tell the Burly one rules the hood he gets the whole street to hover in Doing good you'll be surprised how fast you will go from this point to a longer hover. I agree with Tryan about sims I can't fly worth cra on the sim can't even hold a decent hover but can keep the king in one spot al day if I want. Nothing like the real thing and you can buy a ton of parts for what a sim costs.

Frame rate. phone cams are like 25HZ TV is 60HZ thats the speed at which single pictures are taken to make a movie. Remember the flickering of the old reel movies in school they were like 45 and our eyes could see the flicker. So the blades were moving way faster than the camera Its interesting how we trick the eye to see things how we want. I could get another glass of wine and discuss it all night long so Ill stop here.

You know Tryan is the modern day techno geek, BUT he still says he uses his super8? or was that slider.

the vid does make the blades look funny. And YES I was loving every second of playing around. WHat you guys saw there was about the middle of the third battery. Spent the first two fine tuning the swash and blades, I had done all the repairs, but had not fired it up until this morning.

I will have to post the after effects of that last 5 seconds and the boom strike. Snapped a few linkages and bent the tail boom.
Back to the dungeon again. AND loving every second.

ouch I didn't know if you had a incident or not. I see the boomerang blades work though they brought it back every time it drifted. And also I use a high-8 slider uses the super-8 camcorder I bought it before digitals really come out it still works great and still the same info lithium pack. Cant seem to part with it I got it when my daughter was 3 so its only 8 years old. Sometimes Sony makes good stuff.
