QuickWorldWide Ep and Wet Fuel Helis > C.F. tail boom on quick 30

Where could I get a c.f. tail boom for my quick 30.
There must be some helicopter out there that has a compatible
tail boom. I'm still new with helicopters and I crash. This 30 sure takes a beating, thanks to my dumb thumbs. It flys really well until it starts coming to me nose in. I was thinking a carbon boom would not bend as easy as the aluminun. and the quick booms are not cheap.
probably because you can't buy them without the end piece, which I don't need. My friends are impressed with it's durability, and how well it survives a crash. (trying not to impress them that much, but it happens). And a good thing is I can carash on a Sunday and order parts on monday, and have parts installed before Friday. I don't see why there are so many people complaining about QWW, the only problem I have had is my own thumbs. I have called on the phone to QWW and they have always been supportive and helpful. The prices for Parts are reasonable. (except for tail booms, and main gears could be cheaper(a JR gear works and is cheaper)). I love my Quick(wife is jealous). And am waiting to see the new 50. Have done 3d with my 30...but not on purpose.

jlong,

We sell a clamping base for the 21mm boom so you don't have to buy the boom with clamp installed. I am currently in FL for the holidays and will be heading back north today. We do sell carbon booms also. More expensive though. The web page shows for the 50 sized boom (21mm) 24.99 for boom w/clamping base and 10.99 for replacement boom. The 30 and 50 boom are same diameter just the 30 is shorter.
You can call and talk to Jon at the store. He can give you the exact pricing for 30 parts. I am really glad you enjoy you machine. Have a safe and exciting New Years!

The final build on the 50 will start Monday when I get back to the shop. Features: rear mounted tank, triple bearing main shaft, 3 bearing clutch bell support, and all the bling you could ever want. Once the 50 is complete we will be moving onto the new 70/90 and will have a bigbore kit available for the 50 for crazy power or guys who live in the mountains. Looking at swinging 620-640mm blades with a 70 for the bigbore.

Have a safe and exciting New Years!

Thanks for the info

Thanks for the Quick reply. I found the aluminum boom without the clamp also, I may get a couple more of them until I start crashing less(found some friends locally that finally got me in the air). Are carbon booms more durable? I am working on a rebuild and a custimise of my heli over the winter. Sometimes it's hard to find the parts you want on the website without searching, and there are alot of parts. I don't understand why there are all these people knocking Quick when you go to ebay and see all these helicopters upgraded with quick parts...why don't they just buy a quick?

A carbon boom will be stronger and lighter and won't dent. It either cracks or breaks. If you are learning to fly I would stick with an aluminum boom since it will cost less.

We have high quality machined helicopters that don't need any upgrades if you buy the pro version for an unbeatable price.

We are currently working on a new shopping cart system and updating the web.

You can still pay us via paypal. We can make an invoice and email it to you and upon receipt of payment ship the goods.

I will have to talk with Chris who is reworking the web.
