Didn't arrive on Friday but I'm in a small town outside Winnipeg and that last few miles seems to take the most time, hoping for Monday . I have been toying with the idea of video taping the building process and making it available to folks. The only problem is taht it would slow down the building process. Oh well I'll let folks know.

ARRRGH!!!! Dan from Eastern Helicopters (Canada's Vario Dealer) shipped last Monday as promised but since it had not arrived today e-mailed him to see what was up. He replied promptly (by phone - long distance) with the info that the package had been traced as an attempted delivery on Monday the 31st and that a card was left (no card was left). Went to the Post Office (1/2 block away) and it's there but they won't give it to me without the delivery card %^$#%% !!!! Called the 1-800 number for Canada Post and they are investigating !!. It had better be here tommorrow or I am going to be really P@$$ED. The fact that it is 1/2 a block away is very maddening. Anyway a big note of thanks to Dan for his very prompt help and I hope to get building soon although there is no longer much of a rush as they are predicting a two day snow storm (all the winter snow has melted) with up to 30cm predicted.

ARRRGH!!!!!

Hey, glad to hear you got your Benzin. You'll like the heli. Dan usually gives you some decent instructions in addition to Vario's. You'll find tons of help here if you need it.

I bought one last year and am now putting it into a 212 fuse (http://www.digital-fusion.ca/sbr/index.html). What an addictive hobby!

So I have started the building process (video taping it as well) and find that when building the CCPM side frame model the instructions are pretty lame. If I hadn't downloaded a bunch of info from Vario USA as well as Dans Site I would have been really annoyed. There are a number of departures from the standard build that can be frustrating. The 830/45 X shaped cross member goes in in a completely different manner. Oh well back to the shop!!!

Well on my way building. So far I am finding the quality is great and I like working on something big enough that you don't need a magnifying glass and tweezers!!! Taking a little extra time as I am video taping it to make a "How to" tape. Posted two stills in my gallery.
