I can't wait for this event. There isn't alot going on as far as heli events in the midwest so this is going to be a very welcome event. I hope Don has all his stuff charged and ready to go, as I am going to fly every ship he has. Maybee even some others as well. Of course I will have my MaxAmps powered T-rex 600 and 500 with incase Don isn't sharing. Hey Don, I am going to need a place to crash. When I say crash, I meen a place to sleep.

We do not have electricity at the field; however, several members have generators and power should not be a problem for charging batteries.

Don't worry about the RSVP. I will notify Bill Sanford, our contest director, and let him know that you (kmcclain and ppridday) will be attending. If possible, come early - Thursday or Friday. Flying on those days will be on the honor system and it will be a good time. See you this weekend.

Sorry guys I was out of town at the MARCEE electric fly-in this weekend down in St. Paul.

As Bob said, we don't have electricity, but there will be a few Honda generators around, so you should be OK for charging unless you need LOTS of watts.

I was out at the field last night and it looks GREAT. The rain we've had this spring really has the grass looking great!!

Do I have to be an AMA member to fly? I used to be a member but my membership expired and I didn't renew.

Hi Mike,

Yes you do need to be an AMA member to fly at the event, but we can sign you up at the event, so you could fly immediately. We have the AMA paperwork and AMA allows new people to sign up at sanctioned events and fly immediately.

Please drive over from Thief River! Everyone is welcome and it would be great to meet you.
