I just picked up the Finer Edge adapter plate for my Dynatron starter. It really looks like an awesome starter. So, can you charge these batteries with a normal lithium ion charger and if so is there some kind of adapter you can buy that hooks into the battery? I just want something that I can use to charge the battery if needed while I'm at the field.

MyAces, What you need to charge the 18volt battery is the Makita DC 18SC charger on 110 volts. I picked up my charger on e-bay about 40 bucks and the battery for about 60 bucks. If you want the battery quickly...Home Depot sells the battery only for 99 bucks!

Much better to shop around for the best price. With the set up above I only need to charge once a month.

with this set up you should not need to charge it at the field unless you are starting everyone elses helicopters.

I've got a couple of the batteries already and that's great if you don't need to charge very often. I was thinking it wouldn't last during a long weekend like a funfly.
