| I dont know what the recomended length of tail blade is but the main blades length I have been told should not be more than 700 so the radix would have had to be the 690 version.
Sorry you had the problem but Jan also states not to use carbon tail blades and I guess if you had used the recomended plastic rather than the V's than there would have been little or no damage done, and you would have heard them hitting so known to change them for shorter ones.
I believe Jan is very specific about what to do and not do so it is probably best to follow his advice 100% at least to start with
