Gohbee Aviation Stinger 30-90 > On-Edge Dampers don't quite fit????

Hi guys
While continuing the rebiuld of my stinger 50 i was trying to get rid of somewhat rough blade grip movement. It felt like the bearings were being tightened akwardly. I have flown like this for some time and am now trying to get everything perfect . Anyway, I noticed that the on-edge dampers that i had installed hang out by about 1/4 of a millimeter on either side. I can't get them to go in any tighter. I tried using a C clamp to get them in but didn't want to crack the plastic. Removing one of the spacers on either side between the damper and the grip helped but it just was't quiet right. Putting the stock dampers back in the head made the grips move alot smoother. I am thinking of moving to the all metal head soon. Does this problem exsist there also.

BTW, the dampers were installed correctly according to gohbee's website.

I'm not sure of the actual differences between the 2 but there is one set for the stinger head and another set for the raptor type. Perhaps you have the wrong set?
Just an idea.

Hello, I had the same problem. Either very tight fit with the on-edge or very sloppy with the original dampers. I had some binding with one of the bladegrips also. Got it all working ok when remounting the dampers a couple of times. Im thinking of upgrading to the metal head too, also the HD tail grips. But not until I go flybarless. =)

My stock dampers just make a perfect fit. I am going to leave them in for a bit and see how they do. I am not really doing HARD 3d yet so i don't necesarily think i need them at this time. When i move to the metal head soon, i will reinstall them.
