| Hello, I had the same problem. Either very tight fit with the on-edge or very sloppy with the original dampers. I had some binding with one of the bladegrips also. Got it all working ok when remounting the dampers a couple of times. Im thinking of upgrading to the metal head too, also the HD tail grips. But not until I go flybarless. =) |
. Anyway, I noticed that the on-edge dampers that i had installed hang out by about 1/4 of a millimeter on either side. I can't get them to go in any tighter. I tried using a C clamp to get them in but didn't want to crack the plastic. Removing one of the spacers on either side between the damper and the grip helped but it just was't quiet right. Putting the stock dampers back in the head made the grips move alot smoother. I am thinking of moving to the all metal head soon. Does this problem exsist there also.
