Dig Dug: The candle burns and yet no heat, the phone rings and no one answers, the wheels are turning yet go no where, the rotor spins yet no lift, comments are made yet no reply, etc. etc. ect. and on and on

There's a country song in there somewhere...I'm grabbin' my bass guitar (not a Fender, BTW)...

Pumping your fist and yelling, "COME ON!!!" does not increase battery charge rate.

Shizack, I'm glad you enjoy the occasional rantings of a lunatic. I love your RunRyder name, everytime I see it, it reminds me of tryan02 hitting the table leg or me hitting my cat's litter box in the basement ! SHHHIII---ZaaaaaCC KKKKKKKKKK Oh **** !

Back to the destructive thing… My son came down when I was adjusting the blades and asked “So, when are you going to find a way to mount bottle rockets to the skids…?”
I gota work on that as soon as I figure out how to fly the thing..

So how do you light a bottle rocket with a servo or a solenoid?

I think you would have to have a Hot Wire similar to hobby rocket fuses. Maybe use an extra servo to push a circuit closed? My son wants to be the gun man so maybe a second TX just for the fire power…. 

Well I asked the question because I'm an electrical engineer and wanted to see how this was gonna be done. My question is why the solenoid or switching device you already have 4.8v on the receiver plug a filament into the reciever on a flip switch channel with a 0ohm resistor limiting current so not to blow up the receiver. and boom

I just new tryan would have something to say about that.

Tryan, since the model rocket "solar fuses" will go with a 9volt, wouldnt that work? Pulling of the 11.1volt lipo pack or would you need to run it through a capacitor to build charge and then fire? And would that cause a delay in the firing suquence?

Did you get your batteries today? I had a care package all ready to go for you.

Triple B, You are online early tonite, I hate to be a stick in the Mud, but don't you guys think Heli's are dangerous enough without rockets attached to them????

yes to all three ?'s tripleB. It would be best to do a small circuit for multiple firing at different intervals use a ttl device and program a firing sequence powered from the reciever much like your esc does. With an alternative pwr source like a 9v to fire the devices I wouldn't hard wire a lipo and a cap primitive but it would get the job done, just not pretty and damaging to the lipo. I may have to sit down and do that can you imagine 6 rocket launchers on each side of sliders 500e fuse.

No battery yet still waiting oh well purple stuff should be here tomorrow.
