Here's mine. I put the battery underneath as it's easier to change and with the 401 it doesn't leave much room under the hood. Only been hovering it around so far as the 401 was a bitch to set up but I got some help from fast-lad to sort that out and it is alot better now. Haven't had it inverted yet as only been hovering it around in the street and was hoping to get it down to the field today for a proper fly but, what do you know, it's blowing a gale

I rebuilt fast-lads last night after a servo burnt out the other week and caused a crash on his first flight, and fitted the upgraded torque turbe and tail. Didn't realise how much you had to take to pieces to make the conversion, quite a job but it went pretty good. Haven't seen it fly yet since we were missing a head part.

Nice little heli this gaui. The battery I have seems to be a little big but it lifts it no problem and has plenty of poke, looking forward to a lot of fun with it, just thought I'd share

you still have the flimsy tail rod, probably most of the problem why you were having trouble with the 401 gyro. Its like the easiest gyro to setup. you plug in the servo, plug in the gyro and fly.

I haven't seen an alternative to that piece of piano cord. Only had it a week

That is certainly a lot stronger, what did you make it out of?

CF tube from my LHS. I found the correct i.d. that would let the plastic link slide inside the tube. Then I used CA to hold the link in place. It is much stronger and weighs less.

Stephen,
I just switched to the carbon pushrod and used .098" (2.5mm) ID carbon tube. Its as close as I could find to perfect. Something a toch smaller might be better but so far so good with the .098.
