I have had the Bantam E-station for some time and I think it works well. I forgot what supplier I got it from but it's one of the which advertises on RR.

I second the Bantam. Costs about the same as the MA unit, but also has watt-metter, voltmeter, servo driver, receiver PWM tester, and thermal sensor (with optional probe).

I used it at the field recently to troubleshoot a guy's faulty gyro. Isolated the receiver output, servo, regulator, and then gyro (spit out erractic PWM). Probably saved a couple hours of trial and error for him at home.

Thanks guys. I'll check them out. I've always had other guys around to check my set-up with their tachs. I'll finally bite the bullet for an optical.
