I think this will be a very neat heli. The market right now is full of all kinds of helis and seeing Hirobo coming into it with this heli is cool.
Hirobo quality? Definately something to be said about that! This heli will be tons of fun to fly, a good break from your hard 3D flights
I also think by the time we see it, the pricing will be very competetive

At the show, only a demo. They will not be here in time for sale. Dealers may be taking pre orders though.

It is neat.
It's bout time such micro helis would not have 2 sets of blades. The lama was fine, but this is allot cooler.

I have been flying this little guy for some time now and learning alot about it. It is very adjustable so you can tune it for indoor or outdoor flying easily. I just came back from the parking lot zooming it around and it was tracking hurricanes like my 50. It is really fast for a little heli with foam blades.

I took the tail apart to look inside and tighten up the tail case and the tail drive is done with a very stiff carbon rod with a little dog bone connection on one end. Both ends are ball bearing supported. The rod itself doesn't flex at all. You would think this stiff of a drive shaft could wear out the gears in the back easily but so far so good. The foamie tail blades are nice when they hit the ground, only thing that breaks so far.

This thing has got bearings everywhere as well. The head is super smooth and free. Everything pivots nicely.

I have also bounced it a few times from altitude, couple of blade strikes and a tail rotor strike while doing a high speed low pass. That was interesting. Good thing I like piro flips! Set it down spining and the tail blades were all that got hurt. This little guy is overall pretty tough.

It has been a blast and a nice break from crazy 3D stuff. I could see a group of guys pylon racing these things. That would be a hoot!

If it could go inverted, it would be the shiznet for certain.

Just thought I would share my fun with it so far.

I got my SRB Quark today. I had to go to work, so I waited till I came home to fiddle with it.
I read the instructions, charged the battery, and set the controler up as specified from the instruction manual, and did the start up sequence.

I held it in my hand and ran a series of low power reactions to inputs from the sticks.

First thing I felt: A VERY POWERFULL GYRO !

I was impressed, so I powered it down after everything checked out OK.

I set it on the floor.
The cats watched intently.

It started up again, slid around, then lifted a foot, and held a perfect hover with zero drift or tail twitch........

much unlike the cats which were twitching their tails intensely.

I set it back down, and decided "this bird needs to fly this coop!"

Took it out to my favorite "proving grounds" (Nighttime lighted parking lot near my house) and had a super smooth and nearly uneventful Maiden flight. It handled a slight breese very nicely, and impressed me with its agressive turning ability and nice responsive flight characteristics.

I cut the throttle at 10 feet and it dropped fast, I throttled back up inches from the ground, and did a "tap and go" on the ground, and the slight mis-calculation of the tail angle caused damage to a foam tail propeller blade.

I went home, slapped a replacement one on, pluged it all back in, and it flew perfectly 30 seconds later with the repair.

350.00 for it from Greg off e-bay, and it is worth every penny.
I was not sure if I would like it, but it's super stable and very relaxing to fly with just a bit of "squirelyness" to make if fun in the wind.

SO I just hit Flight # 20 on my Quark.

I LOVE THIS HELI !

Frustrated I couldn't get it with the AIRWOLF body, I was at the LHS and one of the CX2's I was repairing for them needed a new body. I kept the scrapped one and modded it to fit my Quark.

It needed just a tad bit of FF input to keep it nosed out a bit, but it flew perfectly fine.

I plan on confusing a few of the locals with it at the first "Winter fly-in" @ a local hangar we all gather at... haha

Making a custom carry case also.

Not "perfect", but looks damn good in flight !

EDIT: case in Progress.
