| Also comparing this heli to a "400" is not the same either. But it is a fair assumption when looking price to price. This SRB is intended for living room flying thanks to its XRB size, yet even outfly Hirobo's XRB plus any of the other counter rotaters out there, then have the capacity to fly around outdoors. Granted outdoor flying will not be aerobatic, but it will be interesting to see what we can get out it.
Plus at 10:00 at night in your living a room, a 400 size heli is not all that safe. The SRB will be right at home in that environment.
Also for the beginner in mind, this heli is to be easier to learn on than a "400" yet not limiting like even an XRB can eventually become. Crash costs for a beginner to learn on will also be more affordable. And unlike other counter rotaters including our own, this one can be flown outdoors like a conventional rc heli, just not aerobatically. It will also feel more like a conventional rc heli in the control response.
Flying times of 10 minutes are also a nice factor with batteries being much cheaper and it will come with a Lipo balancing charger.
It seems that this SRB will be a nice balance between indoor and outdoor helis that are safer for indoor flying yet capable for fully controlled outdoor flying.
Unfortunately, cost wise, made in Japan and made in China are two different levels and have different quality perceptions associated with them. So the 250 wish is not going to happen.
Like all helis it won't be for everyone, but it does have it place in the heli arena. Counter rotaters are cool, this is likely to be the next step closer to a conventional rc heli just in an XRB size but with more conventional response and control.
Plus it does look cool.
More to come.
