Improoving the breed

The JS shark 90 is really an awesome machine so you don't have to take much care about it.

In other words, follow the manufacturer's manual using the correct linkage measurements;
The CCPM Push-Pull commands must show a nice parallelgram figure at all;
For a quick cyclic response use 690mm carbon main blades;
10 or 15% exponential values less sensitive is gonna be great;
Set the Governor for 2,000 RPM;
A very well pitch curve for aerobatics (we use -14/+14 degrees);

Here in Brazil we are sponsored by a new fuel brand (MK Fuels)- and we have tested their 35% nitro/23% klotz lube successfully.

The Main Clear Graphite Blades are fully MADE IN BRAZIL by AM Product.(if allowed we can send you as a gift for your enjoyment)

Hi mjorge, i had the chance to play with a new tz90 a couple of months ago, and i also found it to be a really nice model.
There was a couple of questions that i had, with the model i was given.
It seems as if there was a part missing from the boom mount arrangement, when the boom exits the boom support. Being the boom goes in about 20mm to the main frame, and there are 4 machined holes, at the rearmost of the frame, is there a part/ upgrade to better support this area.(prone to slipping if not done right) I set the tail servo against the rear frame , too give a little more ughm!!
I found the material of the pitch arms was very soft, and once bent, the head is impossible to track properly(being one of the links is a fixed length.) Any chance they could be made as adjustable?
And any chance you might metion too the manufacturer about making the one piece fan shroud out of clear plastic??? That would look really cool.
I also found that the stock head settings, are aimmed at more of a F3C machine, the same as the stinger. Does 3d too, but stable like a Tempest.
Anywayz, Heres a friend of TZ wishing ya the best.
PS my first 90 was a stinger!!

Chris,
If I understood you, the part you repport is not missing. The four machined holes are used when the main frame is been created on the CNC machined tools. See figures below for reference.

Considering you said about the pitch arms, once bent you must change them "asap". And I was also thinking that the mentioned links were fixed, but not! you can adjust them too. Of course don't do it. Prior to change the bent parts. JS has developed new ones as you can see below.

May be a clear plastic fan shroud should be nice!
But here in Brazil we usually fly with canopies. rsrsrsrs...

Your friendly,
Mario Jorge, AM Product - Brazil

Hi mjorge, and thanks for the extra info and pictures.
That first pic of the mould block, is fascinating, as i havent seen the proccess involved in making the frames. Bet that takes a bit of work to get just so!. Very nice.
I totally agree with you on the pitch arms need to be replaced if the have had any kind of abuse, (as mine had) and i replaced mine with ones of the earlier stinger heli.
The new pitch arms look very strong, and again thank you for the picture.
Hope to see many of these helis flying soon.
Cheers,CHRIS.

Talking about pictures...

Chris,
I've right here on my hands a couple of metal tail rotor grips produced by JS. These parts are CNC machined and will be installed on next saturday, thus replacing the plastic ones.

The results, as well as tail sensibility, pirouette performance and etc, I will post after all.

Please, find herewith a picture for your reference.

Have a very merry X-mas!

A little bit closer...

So, u can take a look! we added nose weight to acheive a better model balance. For this, a brass plate was simply inserted under the battery pack. Pay attention:

3rd Main Shaft Bearing

Hello! That's me again...

When purchasing a new TZ Shark, refer to the third main shaft bearing. It really does the difference. See picture below for your reference.

From what I can gather, JS Model themselves will not be doing a glass canopy for the Shark line.

Better Canopy ?

Has anyone found a better quality canopy for the TZ 90 Shark? I've just completed building one here although I haven't flown it yet due to the weather. We're considering distributing them in the US. Even though I really like it so far although there are a few issues. The worst is that the canopy is of very poor quality. It looks bad and lowers the appearance of an otherwise beautiful helicopter. Another problem is that even with with a 3000mah LiPo flight battery, Align 2-in-one regulator, 611 gyro and Throttle Jockey governor it's very tail heavy. It's a shame to have to add 5 or 6 ounces to get an otherwise very light heli just to get it to balance. Anyway... I should have a flight report in a couple days!

Hi "gorn",
Info sent by JS to us some weeks ago now shows same Tail Hub and Grips. More than happy to take up the casue for you if required?

As we need to be getting some additonal spares to suit the larger TZ models (inc. 90 Shark and 50 III) it's not a bad time to consider the options???
