I installed the 43t pulley last nite. You have to pull the head and tail. There are two bearings that replace the washers on the belt guides to install those I removed the bottom frame. I would recommend installing those bearings even if you don't use the larger pulley it gives you a taller bearing stack and your belt will run better. They can be bought here: http://www.helidirect.com/product_i...roducts_id=2129
I did have to adjust the tail servo for less pitch as the increased speed was giving to much thrust. I still get 7 min of flight putting back 80 percent into a 1100mha 16c lipo using 3900 with 10t and carbon blades
All in all I'm pleased with this mod and will keep it. Total time to install took me 1 hour. Herte is a vid trying to show performance with some medium punch outs
Seems to work, but allow me to give you my 2 cents. The tail now sounds like a pissed-off hornet. In other words now your tail has too many RPM's relative to your headspeed which doesn't sound all that high so when you switch to idle up mode or crave higher headspeed your tail is going to BLOW UP and down she comes in a Spin of Death !!! I could be wrong, but I could be right !!! I do like the bearings though !!!

YA
I kinda noticed the hornet sound I have the cnc blade grips on the tail and will keep watch on the bearings. Not sure if the cnc tail box itself would be a good idea at this time. Your right about the head speed but I for now only fly in the back yard When I crave more power I switch to the evil one. Air warden gets PO'D when I over fly the neighbors ( doesn't do much for concentration to have high pitched yells directed at ya) I'll run it for awhile can always swap it out I'd leave the bearings and just change the belt and pulley. Thanks for your insight.
I find I don't always consider all the ramifications of changes I do.

Punchouts look awesome I am amazed. I do see mine loose the tail on punchouts but the gyro grabs and pulls it back with only a loss of a few degrees. Im blaming the s75 servos for slow reraction time. For now Im good I started using idleup at 85% midstick to 90% full it hold a little better.

I'm the same way GARY, I had woodies rip out of blade grips and luckily didn't lose an eye, if I did ,I would be typing at you right now with limited depth perception !!

So is it a rule off thumb if theirs a bee sound in your heli you should wear goggles?

If you want to try an Hs-50 on the tail I'll send you mine for free. I'm sold on the JR S185 for the speed and torque. The Hs-50 would be faster than the s75. When I switched to the 185 I had to reduce the servo speed setting on the 2100t as it was waging unless I'm totally confused I took that as a good thing ie the 185 was working better

I haven't done any research on servos so I don't know much about numbers speed torque and so on. I think I will leave it alone for now I'm afraid if I start using bigger servos My ESC, BEC may give up.
appreciate the offer though thanks you good people.

Both the HS-50 and 185 are micro servos same size as stock but faster
HS-50 8 oz/in torque 185 12 oz/in .08 speed at 4.8 volts I running a 5v bec because of the 2100t and spectrum receiver but stock bec was fine befroe I switched the radio

Blusaber, I feel a bad for raining on your parade, I know it's exciting to put on a new mod, the tail really does hold very well, I'm usually more optimistic. My Humble apologies

I need to get down to the park and see if I can do something interesting otherwise in the back yard it's pretty much what you saw but it keeps me entertained

That tail reminds me of when I put the DirectDrive motor on my Ecrap Blade CP Pro, it use to scream for mercy but did in fact hold the tail very solid. You got your own Heli-Pad to boot and a pool and a Heli, Gee whiz, your livin the good life out there in Sunny CA.!!
