Will using the tail shaft from the HDX500 work? (since the pulley is for the HDX500).

TM is a good guy and he has some machining capability. Once he get this think knock out, look out Trex 500.

balbs, I was told minor grinding to the locating pin was required, even for the HDX parts, already enquired there. One other possibility is to fit an HDX gearbox, I know of one guy over here who has fitted the box,he said that also has its problems. It is wide enough to take the new gear though,

cheers Kev

Is there anyway to file, grind or sand the new 13t metal tail gear to make it fit in the Lepton tailbox?

I was able to fit this 13T HDX pulley on my Lepton..... Need 180 grit sandpaper, and Dremel with diamond cut tip.......

Just had a test flight today...... HS at 0*, 2650rpm....... Tail is solid with 401 and 8400G @ 6V...... Along with this I was testing a motor for 3S, which bogs very quick, but I never have tail blow out.......

On the test bench this pulley alone could put some serious load on the motor. So that will translate as extra amp draw on your battery packs....

I wish they would come out with bigger main gear soon to lessen the amp draw.....

Since the HDX guys are going to put out 130T main gear soon, I wonder it it will work for the lepton. May have to change out the whole main mast assembly (pulley, main gear+auto/oneway unit). Anyway know if it will fit.

I have raplaced my main gear 3x using hdx main gear..... Works fine.... And I doubt they will have to redesign the whole assembly for simple increase main gear diameter...... Our Lepton still have some extra space to accomodate bigger gear..... Let's just hope those extra 36 teeth won't exceed the diameter of gear our Lepton could accommodate........
